I said hello to someone on yahoo personals...who is just an acquaintance.
In the meantime, there is a message sent to me from a man in a town and hour and a half away. We emailed a little, and he wants to talk on the phone. I'm just bored enough to do it, but don't really care if anything comes of it. I'm sure it won't anyway.
On a more exciting front. I just finished the rough draft of my PAPER that is due! And I finished the last of the comprehensive exam questions that I am responsible for!! Woo hoo!!! GREAT weight lifted off my shoulders.
And, do you believe it? It's Friday again already!
Any weekend plans for you gorgeous gals?

I'm looking forward to hearing how the phone conversation goes with the yahoo personals guy :) Although an hour and a half is pretty far away.
Hmmmm, weekend plans. Let me think. Nope, none. I think dd and I will do our normal lunch out and grocery shopping at Whole Foods tomorrow. I am interested in finding some new summer clothes now that it's getting warm outside, and I am sure dd will want to go visit the park since we haven't be there in absolutely forever.
I don't want to do too much, because in just two short weeks dd and I will be taking our 9 day trip to Oklahoma and Colorado and I need to rest up! Which reminds me, I need to get dd some headphones so she can watch her dvd player on the plane. So there is one more errand we need to run. Sheesh, now I'm feeling like we've got a lot to do this weekend, lol.
There is always more to do than you think, especiallly when you have kids. Like, I don't have official plans...but now that I think of it, I DO have to take and pick up youngest dd on Sat night from a school project meeting, and we have to shop for tennies for her, too. And I want to take my son out for breakfast if I can drag him out of bed before noon, we haven't talked enough lately. And middle dd will HAVE to go to Barnes and Noble...
so even no plans is a lot. LOL
Always remember Candi, just have fun with it. And you know long distance is not on your list of things that you want, so be sure you don't dive in "head first" with someone, and then be sorry later that he's not what you need/want. Still, enjoy the flattery! Gosh, I could use a good flirtation. Haven't had one in a while.
YOU SINGLE GALS pay attention. You might not want to be single, but ENJOY the freedom anyway. It's very precious! ;)
Tonight J is taking me to Joe's Crab shack. I've been DYING for crab legs. He HATES seafood. He's so sweet to get a sitter and take me out, because he knows I've been drooling over their commercials! ;)
Tomorrow I INSIST on sleeping in. Even if that only means till 7:30 am. Then I'll get an hour or so to myself before the guys drag out of bed. Ty has a baseball scrimmage tomorrow, J is looking at a side job to get us some extra pocket cash.
I have cake decorating practice to do. (making flowers. FUN) And then I have an afghan I am working on for Hannah (have I announce IT'S A GIRL here yet???? I can't remember) and a chick flick I rented and never finished (the Notebook) that I should watch since I am already paying one late fee (blush) And then I PACK AND CLEAN and pack and clean and then... well, pack some more. ;)
Sunday morning is church. I'll be going early as it's my turn to do infant nursery. Then Jas and Ty will come for second service and join me. And then...well, unless I find more to pack, I'll probably just hang out. It's Colorado. It's spring time. That means we've got another big snowstorm bringing several inches of snow in the forecast for Sunday. Might be a pizza/video games/movies kind of day. ;)
oh dangit. I guess you've reminded me that I am going to have to help Ty with his science fair project. Which includes going to a local grocery for a few hours to "survey" people on what their first choice is. Chocolate or gum. And then make the graphs and write up the conclusion and build the stupid science board.
You know. I hated school and now I hate helping with stuff like this. But maybe that's because I feel like I am cracking a whip to get Ty to do it. If it were ME, I'd have done it at his age with little or NO parental prompting. He's driving me nuts...
If I get my ego stroked it'll be fine. He'd have to jump through a lotta hoops to make me interested.
Wow, it would be so hard to NOT go have what you're craving. I took myself out for steak last night...just because. It was great!
I've been craving the crab legs for weeks. IF I had told Jas I was craving steak...we'd have gone several times by now. LOL!!! And that DOES sound very good to me right now too. So did the enchilada's with green chili's that I made last night. YUM!!!!
Wow - I am curious to hear how that goes with the yahoo guy!!
Congrats with the paper and the completion of your exam - that is an accomplishment.
Nothing too new or exciting here - I have been struggling with a fever/flu all week.
Well, I was going to get a pedicure......but I don't think I'd look good with red polish....
LOL
