Filled out the declaration of fraudulent activity, gave them my now cancelled bank card and signed off on the three transactions that were not mine.

I meant to say sorry you had to go through this on your initial post - this sounds like such a huge pain and inconvenience. They actually have a dedicated employee at our bank for this type of thing. He said one of the biggest areas of concern were checks going through the mail - like if you mail out a personal check - I guess that makes it easy to get ahold of account/routing numbers. I was kind of surprised at that. I guess that is a reason for online banking. But I bet there are many other ways for the ID thieves to get information as well.

I am glad you acted so fast and that it sounds like they are being efficient.

Well as soon as my card was declined I jumped online to check my balance.
