OLD websites

I'm assuming that OLD means On line dating. And I was wondering if yall could recommend the best websites for just that. I've tried eharmony but I don't like it. They match me up with people who are way too short even tho I've stated that height is very important to me.
Plus I can't afford to pay for a membership. Anyone recommend any sites that are good, don't have to pay for, etc.
Thanks

I always thought match was the best. POF is marginal here - maybe okay in other places. Meetup.com is good - and myspace has some good comments - although I have not tried it.
Good luck and keep us posted!
I did a singlesnet account a while back, didn't think much of it, attached a picture about a month ago for the heck of it and my email exploded. No joke over 200 emails easily in two weeks. However, out of all those emails I emailed back maybe 4, and got one good date out of it.
Another freebie that I like actually is Craigslist. Now, if you go and look at the men's ads for women its pathetic. However, if you post your own ad and weed through all the crazies.. I always find a good one in the bunch that I have fun with. Granted none of them have worked out, but I've still found some good guys that wanted more than boozin and floozin.
Actually one morning getting home from work I was being silly and made a Craigslist ad (i've only ever done two) stating that I wanted (in a comical way that escapes me at the moment) a police man, Paramedic, Fire Fighter.. basically someone that was into the life that I was in. After like two paragraphs of this type of man I put... Oh yah, but computer geeks are HOT! Wouldn't ya know I had at LEAST 8 emails from like ex-police officers, or ex-paramedics turned computer geeks? Or some computer geek that was also a volunteer firefighter? Granted, my morning silliness after a 12 hour shift is = to 12 beer silliness... but hey, I'll vouch for Craigslist! haha
Sell my couch, look for a babysitter, buy a new lamp, AND find me a MAN!
Those are the only two freebies
and by then, it was too late."
I use Plenty of Fish but on that site you really really gotta fish! I catch some really odd ones...toss em back but have dated some good ones! As for Craiglist, I posted an ad ONCE and all I got was men who wanted to hook up! ugh!
Good luck!
I started out on Match and Eharmony.
You want to concentrate on Free, right?
I'm not going anywhere. I do not have time to meet people in person. I go to school full time and have my kids full time so getting out just too meet people is not possible. Unless I hit that guy up at walmart. I'm too shy for that. I've been set up with guys from friends and that has lead to a great date and a new friend.
This whole dating thing is weird. Thanks for all your advice and websites.
