Thanks for the update on you and the girls- sounds like a great busy time focusing on yourself! Too bad the guy didn't work out, but you're right that he showed you that you're closer to what you want in a partner, so you can hold out for the right one!
To recap what I've been up to... Nicolas is off for the summer with his dad's parents, I'm back on with the guy from the mainland, business is doing well- getting new clients and building better relations with the old ones, feeling happy and enjoying life :)
In 4 weeks and I MISS THEM and they MISS ME. They are so excited about seeing the house. They haven't yet and I'm so excited to surprise them. The new neighbors are already planning a welcome home party for them. Did I not mention how wonderful they are???? I just really miss my kids. They seem to be my balance and center. However, my neighbors are doing a great job just being soo good to me. It's what I need right now. Some focus on me, not so much on anything else. A good happy, healthy, focused me is a happy mom. Right?
Hey there stranger!!! Nice to see you back. I am sure I am not alone when I say I wonder about you often when I am posting and thinking about all of these wonderful board ladies. You really do sound like you are doing GREAT and finding center. I am sure it will be so great to see the kids when they come home! I am losing my DS for two weeks starting this weekend. AHHH - I will miss him terribly but the return is always wonderful, right? You probably saw my post for my update but basically I am in the middle of trying to buy a house with SYB and it is stressful but exciting!! We are doing great together and the thing with the sisters has settled a bit which is a godsend. DS is thriving, business is great and everything overall is going rather well - just need to finish these house negotiations so I can sleep a full night without worrying. I am guessing we will know what the bottom line is on that tomorrow. The board has been phenomenal dealing with the nervous nelly I have become in this process. I have had to negotiate on my own since SYB is away for the week and it has been trying to say the least but I hear it is par for the course. I just told SYB the next house we buy I am going on a cruise!!! So glad to have you back!!
That is sooo awesome! I'm so happy for you! This year has definitely been a year of changes for many of us!! I can't wait to hear about the whole offer deal. I will say a prayer before I go to sleep! Again, I'm so glad your doing so well and your exciting news.
I would encourage you to keep up the exercise- especially before you period- the "feel good" endorphins and hormones that pump through your body when you work out do help elevate your mood. In turn, your body starts to crave more workouts- once it stops complaining and asking you what it's done to deserve this punishment LOL!
Nicolas shared some great wisdom with me one night when I was feeling down. I asked him what to do when you want something you just can't have. His reply was "Admire what you DO have, and stop asking for what you don't."
Haha! Should've seen me a week ago- I was a mess, but thanks! LOL!
Yes, he is very wise for his age :P
I know the last thing we want to do when we're not feeling well is move, but sometimes it can help to walk it out, or stretch it out. My coworker and I have been doing a nightly one hour walk- it's good for both of us and we're enjoying it. Of course, I got up off the couch after sitting for 10 mins and my legs were screaming at me not to use them LOL!

WOW! How profound and full of wisdom! You must have been awed! Yes, I think keeping active once the pain subsides is the right idea.
I also wanted to say, I'm so happy things are going so well for you all around! It seems you have a very positive and happy balance in your life.
