Kinda fun is very good.

When I first started doing OLD, I probably "talked" via email and IM to at least 20 guys before I ever went on an actual date with one.

I got used to being single and "dating" again, before I was actually dating.

There did come a time when I realized I wasn't paying for a dating service to meet penpals, and better start actually meeting some people.

I'm glad you are just trying it! One of our old members who posted that she got married two weeks ago, was dating long distance for 3 years at a distance of 300 miles or so the first year. They met online. You NEVER know. :)

I've been online on and off for like 3 yrs. I've only met one guy IRL and he was nothing like I thought he would be.

I totally agree that "You never know"

That is good to hear. Consider it practice. Practice is always great. If it leads somewhere good that is good and if it doesn't you will just chalk it up to fun pen pal writing.

There is no telling where anything will go at first - no matter how you meet.
