I'm thinking of sending BeachGuy a flirtateous text message.... "Wanna make out in a movie theater this weekend?"

This is in reference to making plans for this weekend. He called Monday, he said, "just to say hi" and said he'd called later in the week to make plans. I haven't heard from him yet so I thought sending the text message would be casual yet flirtateous. Or I could simply call him when I'm on my break and say that flirty line.... or not. Or say something more casual like... wanna catch a movie this weekend?

Or option 3.... do nothing. But I don't like that option.... i wanted to do something different but not stupid.

So, what do you think?

PS This would be our third date.

Well if he said he was going to get back to you and it's Friday already, I would make other plans, but that is just me. I definitely wouldn't send out the reminder. You have kids, so he has to respect that fact that you need to have a little bit more time to plan. Or are the kids away for the weekend?

I agree here. If he wanter to go out, he should have called already....if you send a messge or call, it looks like you've been sitting and waiting on HIM and that is not how to attract him.

I'd make other plans and then IF he calls, you can say, "gee, I was hoping to make out in a movie with you this weekend, but you never called so I made other plans..."

THAT should get him moving!

Awww. I was hoping someone would say.... "yes, send the text. that's so flirty and funny.... he'll probably get a kick out of it..." LOL

Instead I'm thinking it might not come across the way I intend... won't send it... I'm glad I ran it past you guys.

Who knows how he'll take it...it's definitely flirty and funny. I laughed because it seemed like me and something I'd do. But since he's neglected to call or make a plan so far, I'd let it go and save it for another date! But still..use it later!

I think that if you two were already in a strong, solid relationship and you sent that text, it would be very cute & flirty and a great idea! But when you're just barely dating and the relationship is not quite there, it would be taken wrong.

I totally agree with finding out first, whether he is truly interested or not, and if he didn't call by Friday to make any weekend plans, then he is outta luck for getting a date with you for the weekend! Go have fun without him and maybe next time he will call sooner!

Allison that is brilliant! It's a great way to lightly rub it in that he just wasn't on the ball enough.

Excellent!

I haven't read ahead, but my opinion is to do nothing- as far as contacting him goes. That doesn't mean sit around and wish you were doing something- GO, do something!

Pick something you haven't ever done but wanted to, or something you love to do but don't make time for often, or somehting that completely spoils you.

I honestly wouldn't be putting too much stock in a guy who doesn't call when he says he will, a guy I have to arrange everything with. If he were that into you he'd have called. He may just have gotten busy, but knwoing you aren't going to sit around waiting will keep him from dropping th ball next time.

Good luck, keep us posted.
