This weekend turned out to be a good weekend. Lynn cancelled our date for Saturday night and withdrew from wanting to date with me so I met up with my 60 yr old friend who I wrote her Match profile. She's been out of work for 2 yrs and been feeling really depressed. She was not getting any responses from Match which did not help. So we went to a benefit for Clowns Without Borders which is an organization (think Patch Adams) who sends clowns out to Third World countries to cheer up children The benefit was held in a middle school and they had some great acts. The band featured this sax player who tapped danced while playing. There were mimes, acrobats, and dancers. All fun. A real bargain in quality entertainment as well. Later we met a friend for drinks.
I had my DD15 for Friday night/Saturday day who was sick with a virus so I made her dinner (Ahi tuna, wild rice, steamed broccoli) and we watched "The Golden Compass" which we both enjoyed but felt cheated on the ending which basically left it for the sequel. It was nice laying together on the bed to watch it.
Sunday I had a Match coffee with a 59 yr old widow. I did not feel any chemistry but it was nice to chat and we walked around her neighborhood with my dog during a beautiful warm, sunny morning.
Sunday night I went off to hear some live music. I found out about it through the Meet In group. I did not know anyone and got to chat with this nice woman, I'll call her Runner-Biker (as in bicyclist) gal. She dragged me out to the dance floor and it was really fun. We agreed to get together for a bike ride but she said in exchange I need to go to take dance lessons (e.g. swing) with her. She runs and bikes. I wrote a testimonial on her MeetIn profile and she emailed me saying what a "HOT" dancer I am *blush*
I invited Cindy to see the B-52s with me which she agreed but then after a phone conversation she then emailed me to say we are not compatible and reneged on her acceptance. I was a bit peeved. I called up Debbie (the 58 yr old nurse) and she agreed to go. CNDG will be showing up there as well so I feel some trepidation.
That's my weekend. So I'm most happy about the Runner-Biker gal - partly because of her nice, friendly energy and partly because of her nice athletic body.

We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. ~Japanese Proverb

Glad the weekend turned positive for you.
Glad your weekend turned out ok.
Hey, looks like we have another dancer on the board!
Wow - sounds like a good weekend with a new possibility? Keep us posted! I hope your daughter is feeling better - sounds like you two made the best of your father daughter night! And if Cindy doesn't think you are compatible - at least you know now!
Perhaps you and CDNG will feel a bit apprehensive about going but once you are there the fact that you both have a date will show that you are on the same page and can just be friends? I can see where that would bother you!
