Please give me some ideas for how I can get my dry ice to get the really good smokey effect and I need ideas for GAMES. For about 18 eleven year olds. So no more pin the bat on the vampire. What else can I do, to make a really spooky and event that they'll talk about for a long time to come?

These are german kids, so they never had a halloween party before.

Oooh, my favorite holiday. First off, don't do dry ice. Why not try a fog machine. It's great and will last you a lot longer without having to replace the ice.

Also, my son's birthday is 10/28, and we always do a Halloween theme. We are going to have the our new "Build-A-Book" party for him. We are also going to have all his guest come in costumes. I'm going to start creating the Halloween pages for his "Build-A-Book" party. Fog machine. Maybe a scary story. Also, we are going to have cup cakes in an icecream cone. Use orange icing, etc.

I thought of a good game would be to put something glimy in a bag with a few fake eyeballs, hands, etc., and have them figure out what it is. I figured I could make it red to look like blood, etc.

I get so excited over this top. I have to figure out more ideas now. You've got my brain juices going.

Boil Corn starch and water on the stove and it will turn into a really cool, clear Mush!

Hi

I can't help you with the dry ice. Never been that brave! :)

But one game we play at our halloween parties is more fun that spooky. It's kind of like charades but you make your own cards and write different things like "Act like a vampire" or "cackle like a witch" and the kids have to guess what they'r doing. some cards will say "pass" or " take a piece of candy from the basket" or even "take your neighbor's candy". My kids and their friends really like it.

We also did our own haunted house with gross things in glass jars, you know spaghetti with water and red food color for brains, olives for eye balls, etc. And the kids walk through and touch what they want (I don't make them.) They like that stuff too.

Have fun!

Hi Catherine, Andi's birthday is in October too and we always had costume parties when she was littler.
