Please pray for my little boy

So, everything is measuring GREAT. He is DEFINATELY a boy since he kept putting his parts up in the picture.

The dr says he may have a ventricle septum defect. This US was also the echocardiogram, and the dr couldn't get a great shot of the heart, but he thinks he sees a hole. We have to go back in 4 weeks to try to see again. If it's a small hole then it should close shortly after birth. If it's a large hole then he will need to have surgery to repair it.

I cried the whole way home.

here he is:

Janet, I am praying that everything is fine with him. Obviously I'm not a doctor or nurse, but I would say that measuring well can only be a good thing- and you, Mike, and both boys are in my thoughts.

Big prayers all is well! BUT, i can tell you, as an L&D RN, they OFTEN close up. & you know what? I KNOW surgery is a terrifying prospect, but that is a VERY common, almost minor surgery to the heart specialists ... so at the very worst, he will have surgery & do FINE!

I want to add my best thoughts and send my best positive vibes from across the Atlantic to you!

I am sure rlch's post was comforting. It is very frightening to hear that things may not be totally right when we are pregnant. When I was expecting my daughter, I was told there was a 1/70 chance she would be Downs syndrome. I had to wait two LONG weeks for the results of the amnio... the longest two weeks of my life.

You will be in all our thoughts for the next month.
