I so relate to this good news. I am trying to start an after school strings program at my son's school and they accepted it but then I backed off because I wasnt sure I could handle the hours needed and then I found another musician who I admire in the area who wants to go halfsies on the efforts and split the profit with me. Awesome. I am hoping ti goes through for next year and gives us some wiggle room financially with all of what we are preparing to take on.
Congrats to you and your forward thinking! I am not the one who came up with the splitting stuff idea over here- my colleague did but my eyes lit up when she hatched the plan! I am learning to collaborate more now and can see how great that will be for all involved!
let us know how it goes....

That's awesome!!! I just got my car paid off last month and I had to so that my debt to income ratio looked better - sound familiar? AHH, right? Seriously congrats - it sounds like you have found a great financial solution there!!

I went through bankruptcy almost 3 years ago and my credit is rebounding pretty good now.

That's great that you have recovered so well in your credit score. I am not quite there yet but working on it. SYB's credit is great though. I am just curious - didnt your bankruptcy collapse your credit and I thought it was supposed to make applying for things hard for a while? How did that work for you? I never considered it even when we were at our lowest financially a few years ago but maybe I should have!! it has taken me forever to pay everything off that was a debt at the point of divorce. I am finally debt free but man oh man did it put a hit on my credit score.

it is a GREAT start and actually our stories are fairly similar only I didnt have to finle for bankruptcy but only by the skin of my teeth. I also got a credit card again for the first time in years last October and have been diligent with it and took out another one about a month ago to keep building good credit. It is a long road I know!!!

Originally I had gone through Consumer Credit Counseling and they did a budget for me and found that I was $400 in the hole every month.
