Powerful public women in sex scandals?

There have been only a few minor scandals involving women in public office, and most of them have been due to love affairs (not casual ones). A recent article in Newsweek asks: Why are so few women in politics embroiled in tabloid tales? Do you think it's purely numbers (there are less women in office than men) or do you agree with author Robin Morgan who says women "do seem to approach work differently. And women tend to regard sex differently. They like to at least like the person?"

I have been trying to think of a diplomatic/intelligent answer for this.

Was just telling my friend about the HBO show I saw called Pornucopia - it is a documentary about the porn industry. They report that porn has tripled since the 90s - thanks mostly to the internet. And who are the stars? The woman of course. And who are the patrons? The men of course. I think for men, sex is a physical need. For women, it is a way to have an emotional bond. Those two are light years apart. Men, at least to me, seem more driven to have sex. Whereas women seem more driven to get affection and attention. Perhaps the female version of political scandal was Imelda Marcos and her shoes?
