So, as I'm sure you all remember, I was pregnant - expecting July 10th. Mr. Dylan Michael made his entrance 3 weeks early on June 19th weighing 10lbs 7oz and 21" long. He had quite a few heart problems. He had a VSD, an ASD, a narrow aorta and transposition of the great arteries. He was airlifted to Miami Childrens Hospital the same night he was born. He had his first open heart surgery on 7/3 and came home on 7/10 (which I'm told is AMAZING recovery time from a Rastelli procedure - general recovery time is 2 weeks) Dylan has to go in this coming monday because the connection they put in during his surgery is starting to narrow so he is going to have a catheterization done.

Mike and I got married on March 1st of this year and were planning to have our wedding

OMG Janet! Dylan is such a cutie!!!!! And omg about all that you and Mike are going through with his medical issues, too. (((((((hugs))))))) But I'm glad he is doing well. I hope the upcoming cath goes well (and works) for him, too. What a toughie that little guy is.

I can't believe how much Hunter is looking like such a BOY now, too! No more baby face- he definitely has a boy face now! They grow up too fast, don't they??! How is he with all the medical stuff surrounding Dylan?

Keep us updated when you can, as I know you are BUSY- but I'm glad to get these updates every now and then at least!

I'm so glad you posted an update. Dylan is such a cutie! Don't worry about the wedding, it's the marriage that counts. My dd did the same thing, and was going to have a big wedding afterward, but when they added up the cost of hosting such an event vs buying a home, it was clear to them that they were fine as is.

God bless you, Mike and your two beautiful little boys.

Thank you! and nice to see you again Shrimpy! Hunter is only 3 but he does look like such a big boy! He can't understand the problem that Dylan has but he does know that his little brother has a boo-boo on his heart. That was the best way I could describe it to him.

He's doing good with having a little brother - and whenever we have to take Dylan to the hospital (this is only the second time since he got out at 3 weeks old) Hunter gets to stay with his friend who is only a month older than him, which he LOVES!
