Profile update - this one is working

Okay girls, I got up and tried to swim and then almost threw up. I am not sure if it something I ate - but the nausea made swimming too difficult - had no power. So I napped and rested and napped some more. Managed to drink a soda and eat a stale cookie. But feel weak.

So, the good news is I can post here a bit today!! Am hoping to be back to normal tomorrow.

Anyway, I had this epiphany about my online profile. In my own business, I work hard with the marketing to let customers know not so much about our products and all their details, but what the products can do for them. A "tell me about my lawn, not about your fertilizer" sort of approach.

And I rewrote the whole thing. The new pix were not really pulling in that many. So why not retweak. And guess what? The experiment worked - I am getting a good amount of emails and winks a day. Of course they are not "quite right" for me but good people nevertheless.

A guy who is 25 and a polo player and who only wants an older woman wrote. Apparently he enjoys intelligent conversation and company and doesn't drink nor does he like the girls who are clubbers or silly and he likes fine dining and to stay in shape. But that is too much of a stretch on the age gap. So.... DELETE!

Then a guy who is a marathon runner who is 38 and in advertising and who just moved here from Mexico City is writing - but he is too much of a singles lifestyle type and I don't like that he is new here never mind from another country plus he has the "wants a kid" box checked. His situation makes me feel like I would be something to entertain him until he gets more settled and wants to start a family.

A widower from another state wrote - he is very nice but too far away.

Then an airline pilot who has a house in Texas but lives in Miami 3 weeks a month wrote. He said my profile is perfect and he would love to meet me and he doesn't think age matters - he is 36 - but he wants kids and I don't want a pilot who has a house in another state and travels all the time and loves to travel. That is too much of a stretch. And with DS I do not want to be traveling a lot.

I really think I would like a nice single dad who is my age with similar interests and decent money who has kids here and a happy settled life. So, hopefully one of those will come in soon.

In case you were wondering what I wrote - here it is:

The whole package for you
What comes in this package? Well, you see, a lot of good things for you. First off, I am a kind- hearted woman who likes to laugh and who appreciates a good sense of humor.

I like to keep fit and will hopefully join you in a few things you like to do to be the same or stay busy doing mine while you are doing yours – no complaints if you like to play golf because I will be out riding my bike! I can cook a great meal that is simple and fast or one that is elaborate.

I can be strong and make the right decisions but I can also be soft and sweet and cuddling when the time is right after a good friendship is developed. I am easy going and comfortable in just about any setting - love to stay casual or dress up to go out and I don't take too long to get ready :-)

I enjoy all people no matter what they do for a living (well, as long as it is legal!) and can hold my own in a conversation. I am young of heart so I believe that brings you something great to look forward to each day. No worries from the past – only good lessons – and a positive outlook to match yours. I like to be considerate and am very trustworthy and loyal – and I have many good friends and a good relationship with my family. I love children and animals because they add so many blessings to our lives and give us so much more than we could ever give them.

And I have a healthy clean lifestyle – no party animal here. You will have fun with me for many activities - when you are chilling and watching a movie, going out to eat, having coffee, reading, working out, enjoying the outdoors or for travel. Thank you for your time to read this – send me an email if you think we match!

Thanks, April.

I think it was just something I ate that did not sit right. I have done many long workouts before - so this is not that new - just stinks that I am stuck in bed when I want to be OUT! LOL!!

Thanks, Moon! A lot of people always say I am the whole package - so tried that for the title - and then decided to look at me through a guy's eyes - why do they want a girlfriend? How would I play that role. Otherwise I was just blabbing about interests that might not catch their eye.

Also, this sounds silly, but on the HGTV show, they teach that it is important to present a house to the buyer - don't leave it up to their imagination what they would do with a room. Show them. So, I tried to do that with my pictures and with my words.

I do believe I have a lot to offer and that I match everything that I want in return.

So, let's keep fingers crossed for me. I believe I am due for a good one. And this time I am being more specific about what I want - a situation that works, someone who is stable and makes decent money and is happy with their career and life and who loves to be active as I do.

Sorry- forgot to answer the EH question - yes I am still on EH. I have like 23 matches that I liked enough to keep - but none are requesting communication.

I just tweaked that profile - so maybe too soon to tell?

I do have like 500 in the trash - so at least I can say the matches have been plentiful. Some have "closed" me and I have closed a lot of them. Often times it is a distance or lifestyle/interests thing - or their picture just is very bad.

Consider the fingers crossed! (Although it is really hard to type that way!)
