Okay girls, I got up and tried to swim and then almost threw up. I am not sure if it something I ate - but the nausea made swimming too difficult - had no power. So I napped and rested and napped some more. Managed to drink a soda and eat a stale cookie. But feel weak.
So, the good news is I can post here a bit today!! Am hoping to be back to normal tomorrow.
Anyway, I had this epiphany about my online profile. In my own business, I work hard with the marketing to let customers know not so much about our products and all their details, but what the products can do for them. A "tell me about my lawn, not about your fertilizer" sort of approach.
And I rewrote the whole thing. The new pix were not really pulling in that many. So why not retweak. And guess what? The experiment worked - I am getting a good amount of emails and winks a day. Of course they are not "quite right" for me but good people nevertheless.
A guy who is 25 and a polo player and who only wants an older woman wrote. Apparently he enjoys intelligent conversation and company and doesn't drink nor does he like the girls who are clubbers or silly and he likes fine dining and to stay in shape. But that is too much of a stretch on the age gap. So.... DELETE!
Then a guy who is a marathon runner who is 38 and in advertising and who just moved here from Mexico City is writing - but he is too much of a singles lifestyle type and I don't like that he is new here never mind from another country plus he has the "wants a kid" box checked. His situation makes me feel like I would be something to entertain him until he gets more settled and wants to start a family.
A widower from another state wrote - he is very nice but too far away.
Then an airline pilot who has a house in Texas but lives in Miami 3 weeks a month wrote. He said my profile is perfect and he would love to meet me and he doesn't think age matters - he is 36 - but he wants kids and I don't want a pilot who has a house in another state and travels all the time and loves to travel. That is too much of a stretch. And with DS I do not want to be traveling a lot.
I really think I would like a nice single dad who is my age with similar interests and decent money who has kids here and a happy settled life. So, hopefully one of those will come in soon.

LOL!!!!
Speaking of MA - he sent me a Dilbert cartoon in the mail anonymously. He sent it to my business PO box with the business PO box as a return address as well. It was a cartoon about restaurants. He was always trying to relate to the times I worked in them and he is the only one I know who reads Dilbert - but whatever- it went in the trash.
MA was close with regards to the boxes - but he was lightyears with regards to communication, empathy, understanding, consideracy and a real relationship! I gave him the stamp of personality/emotional disorder!! LOL!!
He sent it to you anonymously?
I have no idea why he would do that. I remember that he would read Dilbert and when he thought it would apply to someone he would send it to them.
We have not seen each other since I broke up with him - but there really hasn't been a reason to thus far. The alumni events are sort of centered around the school football team and the Xmas party - so will probably not have any of that til next year. I am praying he is married by then!! LOL!!
