If I magically came into heaps of money, I'd definitely first and foremost put a big chunk aside for the kids' education.
I'd share a big hunk with my parents and brother (my only sibling), build my dream house, and pay off my debt.

I would pay off all debt and sock the rest away. Would probably give some to parents and sister. But the rest would go for DS. The only splurge would be a new car. Would like to have all that squirelled away.
If a parent or sibling won it, I would not expect them to give me any.
Ooooh, money, money, money!!! What fun... and what headaches.
(sorry for the question numbering! When I copy/pasted and put in my responses, it changed them all to #1, and I'm just idiot enough to not know how to fix it)

I would NEVER expect anyone to give me money if they landed a windfall.
If someone in your family won a million dollars, would you feel like they owed you a piece of the pie? Would it be different if it was a parent/ sibling or an aunt/ cousin in determining your "entitlement"? -- if it were my Dad (moms not living) or even my brother, then YES, i guess i would assume they would help me out financially. Not really that i am OWED it, but we are a very close family & I cant seen anyone NOT sharing it.
2. If you won a million dollars, would you feel an obligation to share the winnings with your family? If yes, would it just be immeadiate parents/ siblings or would you share with everyone? -- Yes, i woudlnt hesitate to share a LOT of it with my brother. & no, not everyone. The REST of the family is FINE financially, lol.
3 . Would it matter if you won 10 million or just 1 million in determining if you would share with family? -- no, i would still share. But my brother would get a lot more if i got 10, over 1 million.
4 . Would you share any with friends? -- Yes
5. Would you give any away, donated to a fund/ cause? (see below)
Then comes the question: What would you do with a million dollars? What would you do with 10 million?
Oh, dream of dreams, lol.
With 1 million ... I would pay off my bills & my brothers bills. I would invest for Averey's college & my retirement. & I would go to Spain. Then to Kenya. With Averey. (i MAY even buy health insurance for Avereys Dad, but ONLY if he got psyc care & stayed on meds .... but ... maybe not too, lol)
TEN million? Oh boy .... same as above, THEN ... I would get another Lab. I would donate $$$ to the ASPCA & the Scelroderma association & the Greyhound rescue, all in my Moms name.
I would still work, for sure, but would cut back on hours a bit & do some MAJOR travelling with Averey. B/c for me, thats THE best education. I would get a nanny/tutor for a year, & bring her with us so Ave woudlnt miss school. I would get the very best (aka: expensive) vet care for my 2 dogs (one with arthritis, one wth cancer history) to be sure they are getting the best care.
I would get a full body hot tone massage, facial, mani & pedi, ONCE A WEEK. & i would never let my roots go so far b/c i cant afford the upkeep! I would also, ABSOLUTELY get a personal trainer to meet me 4-5 X a week, & I would likely find a chef service to cook us healthy low-fat meals ... & I would become a GODDESS ;)
Rebecca, Mom to Averey, 2/8/00, Kibo, Sana & Zuri too!
"I would become a GODDESS"
LOL!
Fun question Alison. Sometimes I think about this. Then again I always forget to buy lottery tickets so chances are I'm not going to win, lol.
The dreaming part: If I won BIG, like millions, I would but a house
