Ok- assuming here that you're receiving money and not owing... what have you done with your refund?

I got quite a bit back and spent it. I invest towards retirement (15% with employer contributions) so I try to justify spending it ;)

Basically, I used it for big purchases that I wouldn't make throughout the year due to paying bills, clothes, medical, etc. for me and my kids.

I bought: A brand new mattress for myself, Upgraded my computer, Gym membership for the year.

That was pretty much it, and I don't regret a bit of it. I did also take the boys out to a very nice formal dinner, which they completely deserved and enjoyed (they like anything different from the norm).

I was going to add it into the CD that I have building- for my next car... but the account doesn't let me add to it. (sheesh!)

So I just put it all into my money market account... and let it collect dust there. When it IS time to get a new car, I will pull some of that out and add to what is in the CD. As long as nothing happens to my van MONTHS before that CD matures, I can time it okay and prep for the auto switch one day. Not anytime soon- the van still runs too well!

And.. in the meantime, the stash is there for emergencies, too.

I am not sure if I will have to pay or get back - the taxes just went to the accountant - IM training made me late on everything this year - but if I owe - well oh well - but if I get some back it goes to debt - this is going to be a lean year and trying to pay off all debt so can save a lot more.

Speaking of late - oh boy - we are supposed to leave the house at 7:30 and this morning we did not GET UP TIL 7:30! I told DS - just rinse off quick in the shower and get dressed - you can put on shoes and eat breakfast in the car. We scurried and I had to pull a sneaky move in the school lot - but he was on time! I told him - in real life this is going to happen and you are still going to have to get to work on time.

I forgot to set my clock - and he had set his for 5:30 - which is ridiculous because we don't have to get up til 6:30 and so he shut it off and did the big snooze. LOL!!

I have been tired after my race - which is to be expected for another week or so. Usually I wake up at 5AM without the alarm!!
