QOTW: what do you wear?
| Fri, 03-31-2006 - 11:27pm |
What do you wear if it is casual/during the day?
What would you wear to dinner - sort of fancy?
If you were going on multiple dates with different men you are meeting online would you wear the same outfit - like if it is such a great outfit that you just want to mindlessly put it on and look good without having to try on 20 things?
What about shoes - do you try to appear "not too tall" for your date?
Anything else you want to add? Like funny stories? Good tips?

I guess it depends on what we're doing and the weather. If we're doing something "active" (a lot of walking, amusement park, etc) I'll wear jeans and a great top with shoes that are good but comfortable. I wear a lot of skirts, so I will wear a skirt if I can have fun and still be comfortable.

I almost always wear a skirt or dress, but I don't have one "standby" that I rely on. It depends on my mood and the weather, I guess.

I do have one really awesome pair of slacks that I know look great on me, and I can wear them with just about anything, dress them up or down. I wear them often, with different tops.

I am really tall, so I wear the shoes I like- almost always heels. There's no hiding my height, I might as well celebrate it. If a guy is uncomfortable with it, he's not the guy for me.

For me, I just know that when I feel like I look good, I have a better time. I'm more relaxed going into the date, which makes it less awkward. I rarely wear new clothes on a first or second date, because I want to wear something I know I look good in. I save the new clothes for my girlfriends. Once I've gotten used to them, I feel more confident in them... and then I'm happier all around. Of course, I'm a clotheshorse, so even though I always "have nothing to wear", I usually have a lot of choices.
