Question for all - thought this would be interesting!
Why did you marry your exhusband? (or if you were never married to the father of your child - why did you get together - what did you see in him) (or if you were widowed - what is your story about how you married if you don't mind sharing)
Can't wait to hear the stories!!

I was young and naive.
they say love is blind!!
Beacuse i THOUHT he would be a great dad (seemed to love kids ... & in his defense, he WAS a great dad b4 i kicked him out ... well, if you forget what he did to me, her mother - seperately, on thier own, he was great with her - always got up with her in teh mornings, could care less if he was barfed upon, took her EVERYwhere, was exceptionally involved in her care) - &, i thought he would slow down his drinking, stop being a party boy, & start working & would support his family.
Sure was mistaken!!!!

I'm new here so I don't know if anyone is interested........
If you believe in a connection at first sight, then that is only what it could be called.

Seemed like a reasonable idea at the time. We'd been together for 7 years yet were still totally nutty about one another in the attraction aspect, had similar socio-economic-religious backgrounds, compatible views on money and kids, shared many goals, equal work ethic. I chalked up the selfish tendencies and sarcastic comments to immaturity, thought he'd outgrow the crappy behaviors. DUH! I was 22, what did I know about how people don't really change. Now I see all the red flags, then I made excuses for his craziness.

Well....the short answer is ...he asked.....
Even if you want to be a stay at home mom someday, at least have a career started as something to fall back on.
Absolutely! That is very wise.
