I was driving my kids to school today, and my son said to me, "Mommy, is winter almost over, it's scary and I don't like it any more". I second that emotion!!!! Unfortunately, I live in Chicago, so winter is just beginning. We're supposed to get 8 to 12 inches of snow between tonight and tomorrow. We have all been so sick this week, and the weather isn't helping. So, as I was walking to work today from the train I thought of this question:
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to be?
My answer: I would love to be on a beach in Mexico, sitting in a lawn chair, toes in the sand, a Corona in my hand, and my honey right next to me. How's that for a fantasy for a cold, snowy, dreary, January day in Chicago!
Ok, now it's your turn.

If I could be anywhere:
I guess if I could HAVE whomever I want with me, I'd love to be at the seaside in Greece somewhere. My own rented villa that opened to the beach and sea views with a glass of wine in hand and all of my sisters there. A wonderful girls (week/month/lifetime??? ;)
Gee I am in Minnesota where last week it was -20 degrees for 3 days...
My dream would be probably be the same as yours Donna...matter of fact just paid for a trip to Cozumel...unfortunatly its not until September 7th...LOL

I just made my last payment on my trip to Mexico, but that's not until March!! I wish it was tomorrow. I've always wanted to go to Mexico, but have never been there. My ex-BIL isgetting re-married on a cruise ship. It starts in Florida and makes a day stop to the Grand Caymans and to Cozumel, Mexico. I wish I was going to be in Mexico for longer than a day, but it's better than nothing. Can't wait!!

Hi
That sounds like so much fun!!!! What an unusual way to get married. Now how many people are going for the wedding?

Hey--- Grand Cayman is soooo beautiful!! I went on a cruise with my parents when I was 16 and we went there and I cried because I didnt want to get back on the ship. I loved it there and Aruba was AMAZING as well. I remember that everything was SUPER expensive on Grand Cayman. You must tell me about Cozumel so I get a heads up. I too have never been to Mexico ever!
Jerry and I are going for 3 reasons... his 40th birthday, it will be our 2 year anniversary and last year we had the horrible pregnancy crisis and we just want to re write the memories and have something to look forward to rather than worry about how we will have to get through that time. We are excited and looking forward to it...we are also using it as a goal to lose weight! 8 months to lose 45 pounds for me and 25 for him...:)
Anyway isnt it fun -- just dreaming about the upcoming vacation??? I havent been on one in awhile.
And hey you are in Chicago??? Just a few hours away from eachother you know???!! ;)

The coolest thing about the trip is that I'm bringing my twins and Kevin (my ex-BIL) is bringing his two kids, and they are cousins and best friends. They have such a great time together. Kevin asked me first to go on the trip, because we have always been close. Then he ended up asking everyone else in my family. Only one of my sisters is going. The other two can't afford it. Kevin's parents and one of his brothers is also going. I think all together there's about 20 of us going. I know everyone in Kevin's family, and I think his parents are great, so it should be a great time.

You've had a tough year, you deserve a nice vacation. I'll let you know how Cozumel is. When the weather is bad here, I just try to think about my trip. I wouldn't mind taking a road trip to Minnesota, but it's got to be in the summer. You guys get more snow than we get.LOL.
