When browsing around, when you see someone you may like, do you send them a message or do you just browse and wait for someone to contact you? I've been known to send the first message but I never really know what to say...it's quite intimidating.
I've been also browsing around CL and for some reason it's kinda scary to me. I don't know if it's because there are no pictures or what...can't quite put my finger on the reason. Anyone have any good experiences with CL?

rlch is on CL so maybe she can help with tips for using it. I went on the one here and freaked - it is all people looking for sex and very wierd things. Not one nice one in my age group.
I am a matchee type. If there is one I like, I might wink or ask him a question about his profile to see if he notices - but that has not worked so far for me. Usually the ones I have had a relationship with have found me and written nice letters and really pursued me. I have met some very nice people - but thus far the "situations" were not good for long term or an exgf came into the picture. So, I am looking again.
Maybe CL is different in various parts of the country, but the one here
I guess I'm totally OLD naive...what's CL?

In this part of the world, Craig's List is a free online Classified Ads where people list furniture and old refrigerators for sale.
Oh! CraigsList! I only knew Craigslist as a place to sell fishtanks, and garage sale stuff. See how out of the loop I am...LOL!. The discreet encounters sounds a little creepy.

I've met plenty of nice guys from CL.
