Okay girls - I am off to the races - swim, bike, run! We are heading to the land of the mouse for a race. I gave DS a choice between all of the parks for tomorrow and he picked one of the water parks. We have a great cabin with a kitchen for the weekend - so he and I will have a lot of fun. We are also sharing with my friends who do this race so it will be fun. The kids always get along great and we have planned this for some time.
Lifeguard is coming - he is driving up after work and sleeping on the floor on his air mattress just so he can cheer me on!! We are both still doing great - seeing each other a couple of times a week and balancing our lives with work and the kids. All good stuff. I am finding out he reads a lot of books - some of them the same as me - and has a lot of the same philosophies with regards to kids, time, fitness, things and life. And we are planning races together for next season. He says we are a perfect match and always says I am so beautiful, even when I am running around in a tizzy - and the other night we did have a tizzy. Because the dogs jumped in the pool and were trying to catch a frog and I had to fish it out with the net and heave it over the fence - all in the midst of cooking and helping DS with his homework. DS is on the cross country team at school and they gave a huge load of homework the same day as a big race - go figure! I like how LG helped with the dogs and agreed with me that I should do at least some of DS's homework so DS is not so tired and overwhelmed. DS ran 1.5 miles flat out in the heat/sun - he ran really well with the bigger kids - but he was pooped big time when he got home.
My race this weekend is a short fast race - the type where you go full steam until you cross the finish - should only take about 3.5 hours. So hopefully I have a good story when I return. I have jury duty on Monday - but should be back online Sunday night or early Monday.
So, see you soon. Help Cl-Alison take good care of our board as you always do - report any violations and welcome all of our newcomers.

GOOD LUCK!!!
Wow!
How absolutely sweet that he is SO into you! ANd you DESERVE it sooo much! I never knew anyone so patient and diligent at dating as you were. WAY TO GO!
Whew, I'm late coming into this one, and exhausted just thinking about it!
I know you won't get this now until you get back, but I hope you're having fun, and I KNOW you're doing well with your races.

DS and I had so so much fun - not much time to type - but I took 2nd place in my age group. Gave it all I had - didn't think I won - checked just in case and SURPRISE!!
I am scrambling to get the house back in order, work done, DS ready for tomorrow and off to jury duty for a whole day.
TTYL!!
Woohoo!
:-D
Way to go, Judy!

Congratulations on this great result Judy. What a successful weekend you had.
Lovely to read about Lifeguard being there too. You held out for a long time before dating anyone, and it really looks like you have met someone special. I am very happy for you.
