Reading my old THREADS.. how embarassing

I can't believe some of the immature threads I have written these last years. I am sooo embarrassed. LOL. Talk about someone who had a lot of issues these last 3,5 years on here. Especially my dating fiasco's. I could write a book about it and make money, just from the humor of it all.

Any of you go back and read your old threads? I think I'm going to skip doing that from now on, boy do I feel myself blushing. LOL

This is a good point, Cat. And we do not think anything of you - you are growing and progressing and we are enjoying your stories and support.

Hey, you shouldn't be embarrassed! Circumstances change and we evolve, but all the feelings you had "way back when" were valid right there and then, and remain so now!

I know I have written some really cringey things on another board, but so what? That's what I felt back then, and it makes me happy not to be such a sap any more!!

Let's raise a glass to personal growth and development!

How are you doing by the way? How's marriage life and living together going for you?

oh, we've had a few tough moments...weird because we only had smooth sailing the entire time we were dating...but I think it's just stress and getting used to being married. We never lived together before so there was a lot of newness on a lot of levels. Right now we're focusing on remodeling the house. If we can survive that, we'll be all the better for parenting teens (right around the corner).

Hi Catherine
I have yes. And I have been either tickled or embarrassed by what I wrote three or four years ago. But I doubt anyone else would read my posts and say "oh my God, how immature" cuz we've all been there at one point or another. So you've grown as a person and isn't it nice to be able to recognize that. I think you should give yourself a pat on the back!

And isn't it nice to have this place to come to and be immature or whiney or whatever once in a while and to also be able to offer advice from the heart or a hug when needed?

How are ya?
T

Anything to do with a house is soooo stressful and raising children who are going into puberty is another stress issue. Know that I am thinking of you. Someone once said, the first year of marriage is often the hardest? Especially because you were dating so long and never did the move in prior to getting married. It's a huge adjustement for everyone.

Big big big big hugs to you darlin and know that everything will be wonderful and you soon, you will look back and laugh about the first year of chaos.

Love,
Catherine

Hi Sweetie! Things are going well. Packing, packing, packing. Nothing more in my life but that. How are you doing? How are things with James? The kids? It's so nice to see you post every once in awhile. I miss you.

Hugs and have a great weekend,
Catherine

Hi
How long now til the big move?
Things with me are good. Kids just got home from a long week away with their dad. I was so happy to see them! James and I are good. Nothing earth shattering to report. haha. We have now hit our 4 year mark. I get the "when are you getting married" questions alot. Kind of annoying. I've only recently begun to even think I maybe want to get married. So until it's a "for sure", I'll not be running to the church.

Just no time to be on here anymore but I like to come on and pop in now and then. Working alot, busy with the kids. Trying to stay out of trouble. ;) ;)

Let me know how long til you are in the U.S. Hope things are well. Saw some posts from you, going to check them out now.

Wow, Tara, 4 years is a long time - congrats on that mile stone!!

Do you mind sharing your thoughts on getting married again? Pros? Cons?

I ponder this question - would I really want to do that again?

Of course I have yet to find someone so that is sort of putting the proverbial cart before the horse LOL!!

It is just that I really love my freedom and time alone with DS right now - no one to hurt me or stress me or infringe on the time with my son and favorite activities. The only time it is hard for me is weekend nights alone and holidays - but I am trying to work on that to be a little busier.

THANKS!
