Can you call and have a friend check up on him?

Hi I usually lurk only but sometimes someone(something) will strike a chord with me. I have been seeing my boyfriend for a little over 10 months now. I just like you am a worrier, he on the other hand is completely clueless in the worry department. We have had this same situation happen many many times, as recently as last weekend. He knows it upsets me. It isn't that he doesn't care that it does but he is set in his ways and I am wrong for wanting him to change. I have told him that I accept the way that he is and love him inspite of some things and I do not expect him to change but on the flip side, I have told him not expect me to change either. If he is inconsiderate, I get upset and he doesn't like me mad. If he isn't going to change then he can't really expect me to either. If he doesn't want me upset then don't do things to upset me. He just laughs that wonderful laugh he has and says touche.

Awwww Hugs...... I know the feeling. BTDT and got the t shirt.

I hate it. I'm glad you got the text so at LEAST you know he is alive lol. But I can feel your anger, and I know that you are thinking why the heck did he not take like 30 seconds to call you and say 'im running really late, I'll call ya back" or something.

I have been there a couple times myself and my feelings go from initial irritation to worry to more serious worry and dread to panic. Then they call (with some lame excuse as to why they could not pick up the phone) and then the feels all turn to seething anger. Girl, I know! You almost WISH they HAD been lying dead on the sidewalk...OK not really but you know what I mean ;o)

My best advice is to let this ride, cool off a bit before talking to him. It wont help at all if you approach him through anger. Let your feelings subside a bit then when you have time and your in a better space, just remind him that it kind of worries you. He might not even have a clue that you were worried. Guys are like that sometimes... they dont always see it our way.

I will have to go back now and read what happened with you guys last weekend. I was sick so I did not see what happened. I know that little things like this can feel HUGE when on top of recent hurt feelings.
