Rebecca!! What a story in the other thread. He hid the ring in the SAFE? Then what happened - this is a good story and you have to share. Even though it went awry with the drinking - he did have some good qualities - so this is a good one for us. Do tell! LOL!! I just couldn't leave that gem hidden in that other thread!!

My favorite stone has always been Aquamarine. I love the clear, sparkling light shade if blue. My engagement ring was a nice aquamarine on a white gold ring- I adored it. I still have it in my keepsake box along with a pink shell ring I got from my college boyfriend/soulmate. (lol- we were dating only a couple weeks when after a good night kiss I jumped in my car and said "give me a ring" meaning give me a call. He showed up next time with the shell ring)

As for my actual wedding band. The original (also white gold) got smashed onto my finger at a gas station as I flung the door open my finger got squished between the door and the concrete pylon thing. My finger was smashed and swelling fast and the ring was stuck/pinched closed on my finger. I managed to twist it 90 degrees, wincing in pain, and then to get it off I stuck my hand back out and shoved the car door onto it again so as to open/unpinch the ring. It worked but the ring was then a square shape..lol!! Can you say OMEN?

I bought another just like it and when my ex and I were going through really bad times,

Rebecca that's lovely, & very unusual.
I have loads of rings but am going through a "no ring wearing" stage at present.
