Ok- not only has it been awhile, but we're seeing a lot of new faces...
So, name, age, location, children, children's ages, pets, job, update, etc- remember you do not have to give out any information you're not comfortable with!

You sound so wonderfully positive. I'm glad you delurked though and decided to say hello! :)
Can't wait to hear more about you.
Hi,
I'm Angie, 34 in Northern Indiana. Dd 8 (almost 9) and dd 6. Lost dh January '05 in a car accident. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed reading some of your posts knowing that I'm not the only one treading water in the dating thing. I recently cut the last thread on an on-again-off-again relationship of a little over a year when I finally realized that the person I fell for in the beginning was taken over by the real personality and I didn't like it. I'm not dating right now partly because I don't really have a way to meet people - I am fortunate enough to still be able to stay at home with the girls - partly because OLD seems exhausting sometimes, and partly because I think I just need a break for a little while to just be with my girls and myself and figure out exactly what I need and want. Although I have been feeling the itch to get out there again. Once the girls are back in school I am going to be starting a volunteer position at one of the hospitals in town... who knows, maybe there'll be a cute, single doctor who can't resist me! ;) Anyway, I hope to become more involved and maybe treat you all to a dating story or two.
Welcome to the board Angie! I am so glad you decided to de-lurk and join us! I also encourage you to try the challenge I have set up for the week. The only thing you can fail at, is if you don't try. Otherwise, no one loses in this game. It's a self awareness test to understand yourself better. It will continue next week once everyone has posted what happened to them and how they felt.
I agree that OLD can be VERY exhausting, but don't let it discourage you.

I'm not exactly great date material these days anyway.
