I guess we as humans are afraid of the unknown.
This really
everyone else has said all I could say,

Thanks for the hugs!
I wanted to congratulate you for your upcoming Independence Day celebration. How great the this year, it falls on Mother's Day!!! I love that your DS recognizes what is good for all of you.

Well, I appreciate the validation!
I will continue to support him anyway I can, and encourage him to seek counseling. That's all I can do - that and continue to remind him of what a great man I think he is. And he is - EVERYONE loves him! In fact, my DD14 said she can't wait to invite him to her birthday party - he can be the entertainment! LOL!!!
Thanks again, Soonee!

Thanks. As we all know, the destruction of a family, and of a love that once was IS devistating.
Like I said, we'll just continue to be his cheering squad and do what we can when we can!

Hey you!
The message board suggestion is a wonderful idea, and I bet he would be receptive to it - only problem... he's only on a computer at home where she would see everything he was doing. Not that he should hide, but privacy is probably important, KWIM?
About the teen years and an unruly-undisciplined child - you hit the nail right on the head. That's part of what we discussed last weekend. It was hard to tell him that, and harder still for him to hear, but it was almost like a mini-intervention... I think he took that we were saying everything out of love, and accepted that we weren't trying to beat him up more. We love both he and his son, which is why we want the absolute BEST for everyone involved.
Thanks again,
Moon
