Recently I started watching Sex and the city .I finished one season. It is about independent women in their 30s in NY city and their dating stories.
There are 4 main characters in this. If anyone here watched this:

Do you see a part of you in any of the 4 women?

It seems like they are dating a lot!! Wonder if that actually happens in NY.

If you watched S&C.. Did you like any male characters there in particular?

Seems like I am getting addicted to S & C.. I watched 6 episodes in a row!!!

Also it seems like women always have hard time finding a good date..Seems like there are more good women out there than the the number of good men (available ones!!)

Wanted to see what others thought about this.

Dance, I'm a die hard SITC fan and have watched it since it originally aired plus I DVR the re-runs on TBS! I have 3 girlfriends that I get together with once a month and we talk about sex & dates & relationships. And we all date a lot too. We've even picked which characters we identify with the most.

Funniest thing is we each identify with a different character and we are so very very similar to that one, it's uncanny.

A couple of years ago I watched the entire series on a rented DVD. It was pretty funny. I think that there are plenty of good men out there and you have to be in the right place in your life and the right mindset to find one.

There is a really funny reality dating show on Bravo - called date a millionaire - or something like that. My friend was just telling me about it. Most of the millionare bachelors are over 40 and never married.

Anyway, the problem is not finding the girls for the millionare to choose - there are plenty. But the problem is that the bachelor either a) wants the wrong type of women or b) doesn't have the lifestyle/attitude to attract/keep the right woman.

One of them wanted 25 year olds when he was 45 or older. And none of the younger girls liked him because he was so self centered and didn't have a clue when they were talking about movies and music in their genre - so they dumped him. Now he did learn a lesson and is pursuing older women - more his own age.

The next bachelor is a manufacturer of adult toys. Apparently he has a mindset like Hugh Hefner. He has a stripper pole in his pad. Which he tried to get her to do a dance and she said NO. Then she asked him what he was doing the next day and he said pool party - but she wasn't invited so she dumped him and said that is not what she wants he is probably hiding something. I am not so sure if that one can be rehabilitated.

You have to realize I did not watch this show - I am typing it second hand. But I think the message stays pretty clear.
