LOL!
In honor of Rebecca's last post that had me on the floor in laughter, here's a post asking if you remember your kiddo's soothing techniques. So Averey's was the BOOB...lol!
Sierra's was, is and always has been HAIR. As a baby and toddler she was lovingly wrap her little hand up in my hair..it would soother her. It was the most sweetest thing- her little head on my shoulder, sucking her thumb, hand in my hair.
Then she began twisting her own hair while falling asleep and did that for YEARS. Still today at age 10, she loves the feel and smell of my hair :o)
Also she was a thumb sucker (at bed time)

My son used to play with my hair while nursing but nothing ever stuck with him
My daughter on the other hand has a blanket--handmade that was given to us at the hospital as I walked out the door--we call it blankie as if it is a person "where is blankie" not "where is the blankie"--she still sleeps with it every night at my house (she doesn't require it at her dads) and she has to have it tucked just so to go to sleep (she tucks it between her legs!) I love it because even though she is 13 she is still my little girl!

My MonkeyBunny loved his BunnyBunny... it was a small blankie with a satiny edge and a stuffed bunny head as part of the blankie, in one corner. He took that thing with him EVERYWHERE, and there was a time when he couldn't sleep unless he had it. But once he had it with him, and rubbed his fingers on that satiny edge... he was OUT. It was like magic! lol He could literally fall asleep anywhere.
I still have the BunnyBunny but I won't let him play with it- because it's shredding and I want to keep it as intact as I can, for a keepsake! Of course, I didn't take it away from him... I just took off with it for safekeeping once he grew older and abandoned it himself.
Aw, my little MonkeyBunny!!! He's no longer that chubby baby anymore!

Awwww, shrimpy- those pictures and the bunny blankie story are so sweet. Something about the innocence of them and thenthings that made them feel safe- I love remembering those things.
Ahhhhhh Shrimpy....What a cutie pie!
