Hi all-
First let me thank you all for your virtual hugs, holding my hand and the incredible support! I've been a basket case lately...chalking that up to external issues coupled with HORMONES!! Eck.
Blue Eyes was THERE last night- totally checked-in and present with me. He never felt the distance I felt or thought we were off track. He did do some evaluating about us- and came back stronger. He genuinely wants to be with me. He had retreated a bit into his shell, after some painful conversations. But we are both willing to look openly at the the issues and move forward but not blindly. He was open and I felt he was there in a genuine way again-

I would respond- and tell him of your group. If anything, there could just be more to play with! But judging from how he hinted at stuff- I would make it CLEAR to him that you're TAKEN because he is obviously hoping that maybe there could be more.
(when a man says things- believe him!)
Is setting up a co-ed disc golfing group not a possiblity?
Oh- and HUGS about the talking with BE!!!!!! I'm glad you guys had a chance to talk things over! I'm glad he was THERE and not clueless or defensive or any of the negative possibilities. I hope things work out for you guys. Just remember- you can be supportive of him, but you CAN'T be doing the work for him. You know that- but if you are a "rescuer" like I used to be... it's easy to forget.

I think a guy friend is an okay thing--keep it open with Blue eyes if

Great to hear that communication lines are open again with Blue Eyes.
Disc golf is also known as frisbee golf or affectionatley- "Frolf"
It like golf but you use frisbees but the frisbees are more solid and flat- made to go far distances when thrown, much further than regular frisbees. There are "baskets" where in golf there are holes. There are T boxes where you begin, usually about 400 to 500 feet away from the basket. There are obstacles to avoid like trees and creeks (and that da** patch of ivy on hole 11 that ALWAYS seems to EAT my disc which leads to enless searching..lol). You get 3 to 4 throws (like golf strokes) to make it into the basket.
The coolest thing is being outside on a trail through woods and nice terrain, up and down hillsides, you get a great work out while having FUN. So far, I've played only with guys which actually has been an advantage to me, because I try hard to keep up with them and so I'm learning on a guy's level.
Yeah- I think I'm going to recommend this guy meet up with the regulars who play all the time. If I meet up with him as a disc golf friend that would be fine in a group I think. Don;t feel real comfortable meeting him there by ourselves. I like the idea of a
I was considering that too- that maybe Blue Eyes and I could play with him in a threesome game. But Blue Eyes is really good and I think this guy's looking to play with beginners.
Thanks for your encouragement, too!!
I know we have a group here in my city- because there is a course set up in one of our biggest city parks. And I've seen them out there "golfing" even in the rain!!!
But I haven't looked into it- because the last thing I need is yet another hobby/activity to do!!!!! I wonder if I could geocache and disc golf at the same time?!?? lol
~shrimpy, who dabbled at disc golf when in college; was never good at it, but had fun
