should he confirm a date?
| Fri, 01-05-2007 - 8:44pm |
Hi all,
I've got my 1st Saturday night date tomorrow in 7 years! (3rd time seeing this guy--through match.com)--he asked me to go out again "soon", right after date #2 (before XMAS), I arranged for a babysitter for tomorrow (6th)--I just told her 7:00. When we set it up he said "lets work out the details later". Ok, should he be calling me (we've never spoken by phone, but I gave him my number), or e-mailing me to confirm??? I am a little freaked out that I might be stood up! And, I know I could call or e-mail him, but I am trying to change my old habits (topic for the future). Is this normal guy behavior, and am I over analyzing? Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mary

Yes, he is guy # 2--because I met him 2nd, and have seen him only 2 times. We have a lot in common, he was very nervous the first time we met, but much more relaxed this weekend. We talk on the phone a lot--so in a way I feel I know him better. He went to college with a friend of mine, so he feels "safe" also.
You really want to hear about how these go? (If you do, I'm happy to share...)
Mary
Haha, I never thought about whether anyone really wanted to hear about all the sordid (and not-so-sordid) details of my life... I simply spill it!
We do want to hear about it, everything in life is a lesson, and for those of us who've been a while without dates, it's nice to live vicariously through others. It can also help us find ourselves. We can imagine how we would have reacted to certain things, and play those scenarios out.
We are also genuinely interested in each other's lives.
