Should he stay overnight? DILEMMA!

OK. I met this great guy a year ago, and we've been talking casually on and off. After taking things slow and being casual for almost a year, we started talking more seriously around Thanksgiving. I went to visit him a couple of weekends ago, and had a great time.

Now, he has made arrangements to visit me this weekend and stay all weekend.

That is great you did a background check - you are very smart.

Keep us posted!

I also found a guy who had 2 counts of domestic violence from him - and by his profile you never would have thought that. So he got deleted for sure. I agree with you on that one.

Good thing you work in a law office!! That has to help!!

UPDATE!!!

My cousin agreed to keep my daughter, and I ended up having a very nice weekend with my date! We visited his mom and I got along great with her!

The only dilemma is that he wanted to meet my daughter this trip, and I thought it was a little too much and didn't quite know how to navigate it. Should I bring her by the house and she sees this man sitting there? No. Should I bring her by my cousin's house and she's like, Who's this man my mommy is with? Is this why I can't be home this weekend? No.

So I told him that we could both visit him and his mom the day after Christmas. I'd rather us come to him, than he and I come to her. It would be a little awkard. So he was disappointed in that, but I believe it was best for her overall. Wish me luck in the future! tee hee :-)

Oh wow - that is a good outcome. How far away does he live?

I agree with you about you being picky as to when he gets to meet her - better later than sooner.

He lives about 5 hours away, but his mom is about an hour and a half away from me. And thanks for saying that! People act as if I'm weird or trying to hide something when I don't let a man meet my daughter within the first three dates! I mean, let me establish something on my own first

What are you two going to do to resolve the distance between you? Do you think he can move to where you live? It is good that his mom is close.

I'm glad you had a good weekend, and I agree with the way you handled the request to meet your daughter.
