Ah, ski trips. Here a couple shots of my kids. the blob is my failed attempt at using photoshop to fix a flash flare. And while we sat there in the Deer Valley lodge having apres ski hot chocolate, someone was stealing S16's rental skis. And can you tell D3 absolutely adores S19?

Ah...the skis. Some rental shops have a loss insurance you can buy but most, including where I rented S16's skis, just have a damage policy you can add. We had the damage policy, did me no good. Cost me $325 to cover the ski and pole replacement. However, I'm told if you use American Express to rent the skis they cover for this type of loss. My homeowners might, but it's under the deductible anyway. So I'm seriously considering accepting one of 3 American Express offers that were in my mail just to use for this type of thing. I've been skiing for 30 years and never had something like this happen. I have my own equipment as does S19, but S16 isn't as avid a skier so he has declined my offer to get him his own stuff for Xmas. We're going up again at the end of Feb.
The holiday ski trip was a tradition from when their dad and I were married that I kept. I just started going to Utah rather than Telluride/Durango to get away from the memories tied to those locations. Since OW doesn't ski, Psycho Boy rarely goes anymore.
But, since the hotel screwed up my reservation and put us in a smoking room, had no other place left to put us (in spite of my making my reservations in JULY!), we stayed there for free. I guess my net is actually a gain in spite of the lost skis.

Your little one is such a Cutie! She is so lucky to have big brothers to adore. From the looks on their faces it looks like they adore her too. Thanks for sharing your pix with us.

I've been invited fo sometime in Feb. to ski in St. Louis. There is a place in that area that has artificial snow. I'm not sure if I'm going though. First of all, to take me and my DD it's expensive and secondly, being the sole breadwinner, I would hate to have one of my bones crack!
