We have a big TV over here and I avoided it for years. I still had my mom's old wood paneled TV. It was hard for me to even just put it in the basement but I am sentimental that way. I have to say that I am so happy with the big TV and it is amazing watching things in HD - makes me feel like I can see people clearer than I might want to at times even!! It really is great for movies and suspense stuff, picture clarity has come such a long way. SYB convinced me to get it and he paid so I coudlnt really resist. Oh men and their electronics. He has practically redone the technology all around me but I love it now that he is here to show me how it all works!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ave's bed and I like the first two linens the best. So cheerful and beautiful colors. Makes me wish so bad I had a girl!! Darn you!
Yeah! SO FUNNY! Its my moms tv as well, & THATS why, for sentimental reasons, I have refused to get a new one! She died 4 yrs ago & it was 6 yrs old then. But now ... it has this ANNOYING high pitched whine sometimes ... its like Chinese water torture! So i had no choice.
& oh, MEN & their toys (not MY toys, lol)! LB *and* Carlos have put in their FIFTY cents about what I should & shouldnt get. BOTH of them have 52-54" TVS. Crazy.
OK you probably wont want to hear this because you seem pretty antiduvet but some of them now have little tabs on the inside so you can attach them either with magnets in the tabs to attach to themselves or with safety pins that you cant feel on the outside because there is a protective layer. I only use them because I am fickle and I like to change my duvet cover sometimes but I can keep the comforter.
I had to talk SYB down to a 43 inch tv - he was thinking 54. He had to listen to me eventually because we were having conversations like "but I was thinking 54 would be good" and I was just looking at his crotch to make a point. It seems this is a very testosterone based obsession. I do enjoy the tv though. And DS LOVES it of course. FUnny thing is we dont watch a lot of tv around here. We do watch things at night after DS goes to bed but it hasnt changed how much we watch - it has just made it more fun to do so.
Love the bed, goes with your house quite well, has that coastal feeling. Blue with white is also quintessentially beachy. Sooooo, the soon to be pro Interior Designer is voting for the Hawaiian set- but it is absolutely up to AVE. She is at the age where it matters to her that she has a choice. Heck my 4 yr old daughter was absolutely certain she wanted her room purple, she picked the final color (OK I gave her 2 choices) and she picked the bed set (again from 2 choices). I just finished painting her room this past week. If you buy a nonVOC paint (DunnEdwards Ecoshield, or Sherman Williams Harmony), maybe Averey can even help with the painting. And you can inhabit the room the same day- no headache.
QueenBun, who spent an hour today at Sherman Williams with my colorblind brother and colorblind mother picking out a color scheme for my brother's new house
I Love the bedding choices for Ave!
I forgot - i love the Hawaiin one as well!
Rebecca, Mom to Averey, 2/8/00, Kibo, Sana & Zuri too!
