I love the paint color and the Hawiian print bedspread--not so keen on the parrot pillows but you don't have to go there!!

QueenBun, who spent an hour today at Sherman Williams with my colorblind brother and colorblind mother picking out a color scheme for my brother's new house
LMAO!!!!
So what colors did they choose???
I LOVE the Hawiian print!!!
There is a funny story behind all this. My brother moved to So Az last summer because it is a better climate for his rheumatoid arthritis. He has been living in our mom's RV which she stays in when she spends winters here. So when she came back this winter they both were living in the RV with mom heading to my house (my brother has the RV 2 hours away from me, close to his work) every other weekend- LOL we share custody of our mother, I get her every other Sun eve-Wed afternoon!.
Now my brother bought his first house. He's single, never married, no kids, so he is letting her live in his guest room and she can pick out the colors for it and the guest bath. She stays in D4's room when she's here since D4 rarely sleeps in there, can't get her out of my bed. So Mom wanted to paint the bathroom the same lavender color I used in D4's bedroom. Her bedroom is going to be a coral pink (I was pushing for a more orange shade of coral to go with the terra cotta color my brother went with for baseboards) with a cream sponged on texture. I know how they both perceive color, what they miss that the rest of us see, so I know she really can't see much difference between the pink coral and the orangy coral. She just gets like a kid and wants it to be her choice.
My brother was easier, he wanted the colors to be Southwest which to him is Navajo pottery colors: lots of tans, grays, black and terra cotta and with turquoise for an accent. His furniture is mostly black- leather couches, dining chairs- and glass tables with these rock like bases. All the hardware and light fixtures are steel or chrome. Not my taste but it works for him.
This whole adventure began yesterday when I took D4 to her dance class. I get out of the car and someone starts yelling my name. I look and it is my brother who has pulled into Sherwin Williams which by coincidence is next door to the dance bldg. He drove all the way over to my area, didn't call first, and just lucks into finding me.
When he gets it all done I'll have to send pictures. It is a nice, small 3 BR in a new subdivision.
QueenBun, got my brother 3 gals of free paint without even asking because the manager overheard our conversation and heard me say I only use DunnEdwards Ecosheild, a competing product. Since he also figured out I'm a designer he wanted me to try their Harmony product. I wasn't even there when this all went down. Do I ever get free paint for my projects? NOOOO!
"Can we paint a sun in the corner? & a palm tree on the wall too?"
How about instead of a sun on the wall, you get a lamp like this one?

That is tooo funny!!
I like the idea of lavender and coral. I've always liked those shades together. My wedding colors were supposed to be shell coral and periwinkle. That turned out pretty good except that a lot of the coral shades ended up more pink-pink as many people do not seem to see the difference and it was haed to coordinate the same same shade of coral pink for bridesmaids, flowers, cake decor, etc.

Hi QB - Just a thought but could you not fudge the colour a little..since you know "how she see's it" ie. what appeals to her.
