w/ Taz. I stayed about 30' & will go back & get her. He is in a chipper mood. He hugged her, was smiley & laughing, all unlike him. Told her she was looked so beautiful, many times. Unfortunatly, he had BOOZE on his breath. Not even close enough to affect him negatively - you wouldnt know it if you didnt speak closely (he was talking over the music to me, thats how i knew).

Keeping my fingers crossed Taz has had an epiphany and will get through the evening w/o any inappropriate comments.I am so happy for Ave that she can have this event. It obviously meant a lot to her.

I'm happy for Avery...

this was my girls last weekend to visit their dad... they were at grandma's house... and while they are at her house.. their dad (the abuser/drug addict) will sometimes visit.. but she said, this past weekend (since he's back doing drugs) he got upset with her and left... missed his visit with the girls all together.. DD5 asked where's daddy (she's the daddy girl) and grandma said "he's not feeling well." and DD5 said, "but daddy is always not feeling well..." obviously disappointed that she didn't see him..

dd3 on the other hand doesn't think she has a daddy... everyone has tried to tell her but she'll say. "no, thats dd5's dad, not mine.... "

Again, i'm glad Avery has this night and this dance.. something she can hold on to during the tougher times.

Wheres the relief icon? lol

When i got back there, he was dancing the Macarena with her, lol. They slow danced. He was very affectionate, loving & NOMAL (as he gets). The nite ended w/ him taking the dogs overnite (a VERY good sign, he has only done that twice in 3 yrs when he isnt playing poor-me) & then I took Ave to eat. She called him & of course THEN began sobbing she wanted to sleep over there. We ended up (i condeded) that we took him a burrito & dropped it at his house. He was fine. It was all 3 of us & the dogs in his efficiency apt, lol. For about 30 min. All ended well ... i will get the dogs tomorrow - but guess what? He borrowed $200 till next Friday!

Oh dear - what a thing to discover - but as long as he is not driving her and he is at an event with all those people I suppose you just have to do what you did and breathe a sigh of relief. I am glad that Avery can have one night of normal dad - maybe it will encourage more from him?
