Son's baseball coach so cute!

So my son's baseball coach is really cute, and divorced. I think he is single and really want to approach him, but am very reserved when it comes to that. Problem is, his son lives right around the corner from us and our kids play together. Obviously that means his ex-wife lives right around the corner from me too. Anyway, I think he is adorable. I see him several times a week and we sometimes joke around and he always talks to me at practices and games, but I don't know if he is just being nice. I can't believe I actually have a crush on this guy. I don't want the season to end without ever knowing if he is interested too and we just never connected b/c of shyness or something. Guys don't read into hints and signals (and I am giving them) so I need to advice. What would you do?

Well, I think the easiest thing to do would be say, "well, DS and I were going to grab a slice of pizza, did you and your DS want to join?"

I agree. I have been trying to come up with something creative for this post and Alison's idea is perfect. See, there is an advantage to having kids - because that is certainly a very innocent ploy and a team type of spirit when everyone is already there and playing! "Pizza time for the kids" - LOL!!

I agree that Alison's idea is a good one. You are right that most guys don't pick up on subtle - especially the nice ones. I had to make the first move with my guy - but after that I patiently waited for him to make the second, and the third . . . .

Okay - and I thought of one more. You could ask the kids first! hahaha!! "C'mon dad, I want to go to Chuck Cheese with them!!"

Yeah, it is definately a good one. A guy friend of mine suggested that I compliment him, saying that guys love to hear compliments, so maybe that will get his attention too. I haven't dated in a while, so this is pretty new to me. I will try the compliment and then maybe the pizza idea.

Thanks

I would probably reverse the compliment/ pizza idea. Take him to pizza and during the conversation make a nice compliment on how well you think he coaches the team. Doing it the other way around, would make me wonder why he complimented me and suddenly invited me. Don't let him know your interested until you sit down and get a feel if he really is taken or not by someone else. Make sense?
