speaking of christmas weekend

I was a TINY bit bored...ds was housesitting and dd was at a friend's house for a couple of days. I was looking at the personals...and I did what I said I'd never do. BUT...hey...

Ok, no excuses. I saw someone's ad who could be very compatible. Returning grad student, dad raising his kids (divorced for 14 years, so not tiny ones), plays in a band that does gigs at the twilight festivals downtown, likes to go for coffee. HIs pic wasn't a turn on or turn off...so I thought. HECK!...I did a profile just so I could send him a "tickler". And then promptly forgot about it when the kids came home.

He sent me email this morning. Nice, kind of cute email. Not too anything.

*sigh*

No one else even looked semi interesting, so if this doens't pan out, I'll just take the ad down.

What did you say you'd never do? I am confused? I think that's fun. What can you lose? Honestly?

Just don't expect much more than a little fun and that's great. And if it's more, ALL THE BETTER!

I do look forward to hearing how it goes Candi.

Now, why do you ONLY have to work today? Man, I work all week. This sucks. I CANNOT concentrate on work to save my life!!!!

What can I say, my employers LOVE me... :)

I was never going to touch the personals again. And I wouldn't if this guy hadn't been RIGHT here, RIGHT now, in the same University I am and it sounds like the same general life situation.

I think it's cool. You know, Candi, everything happens for a reason. You were set on not going into the personals again, but something made you do it. And there was a nice guy right there waiting to be contacted. Who knows???

Hope it turns out great, but if it doesn't, you have lost nothing.

I was really surprised anyone sounded sane. Maybe he's not...LOL.

I'm surprised we haven't bumped into each other already. We have several similar likes in activities. who knows? My very practical friend Darlene predicted that I would come back from vacation with a new love interest. She says "you're just READY, girl! And Trav isn't"...

Someone did actually bump into me at B&N last night. I was looking at books and he was backing up, looking at some bottom shelves. I would have SWORN he knew I was there. LOL...afterwards he was humming. *shrug*

His email to me...
There are some references to things related to my ad (chosen one is a personality type that I tested into)and I guess there is something in there about wanting someone articulate. ? He tried to guess what my user name meant...it's my name backwards... LOL

*****

Is being articulate really that important? Sometimes I have trouble explaining
my thoughts to myself ;) Where did idnac come from? Let's take a guess, I
would not act cold, isosceles degree nimbus angle cauldron that's tense. Ah
ha! Contrary to the "chosen one's" personality you are saying, I do not always
call. Wait a minute, it says you can be counted on to always call. Are you
just teasing me?

I'm thinking if he likes to use big words like that, I could give him a run for his money. :) It'd be fun.
