Speaking of a little flirting

Speaking of a little flirting, I felt good this morning, too.
Yesterday my son started school and while he was waiting for the bus, I saw a nice looking man waiting with his son.... Normally when I see a man with a child, I assume he's married and don't make eye contact... But not the new me... the new me flirts with everyone....lol.
This morning at the bus stop, he was back. This time he had two children with him... he put the kindergardener on the bus at the corner... Then asked what time my son gets on his bus.... He was looking for a closer bus stop for his daughter. While he waited, we all chatted. I asked what grade the girl was in, ect... I ask my son if she was in his class. She looked taller than her age so I told my neighbor.... "Well, you're tall..." (a subtle flirt... but a flirt nontheless). Unfortuntately, i'm pretty sure he is married... he said, well she's not mine (she was his step daughter). He mentioned his real daughter is even taller.
But even though he turned out to be married, I'm please with myself that I was social.... the old me would not have even said a word.... (I am glad I didn't flirt more obvious. LOL)

I tell people that my best selling points are my funny, smart children and my sweet, mellow dog. My children are teens and not so much as attractors for single women but they certainly do reflect well on me saying to them that I'm a great dad since they are so great (courteous, sharp, humorous).
My dog has been called a "babe magnet" by a babe ... ah too bad she was over 20 yrs younger than me... I have met my best friend (now married to a guy she met off Match.com) by walking my dog around. I have made dog walking dates instead of coffee first meeting dates. You can certainly socialize at the off leash dog parks they have around here in Portland.

A dog walking date sounds fun!! Your dog could very well be your ticket to someone nice - keep on walkin'!!
I bet you have a lot of good advice for raising teenagers - we are all ears :-)
