Still Getting the Pitter Patters

The Date-a-Thon with Hiker is still continuing while the kids are gone. I never realized that he would want to get together THIS much, but we normally don't because I have the kids to take care of! Anyway, it's nice to know that he is that interested. And I've been open to every offer... except for one, but that's because I'd already made other plans. :-)
But I'm just surprised sometimes that the twitterpated feelings and the pitter-patter of my insides is still happening even after dating for awhile, and dating as much lately as we'd been doing. Neither one is tired of the dates yet! And they will slow back down again pretty soon. So maybe we're just trying to take advantage of the free time while we can.
He now also wants to make a mini-vacation trip just before we pick up my kids from the ex. :-) I would've been fine going to pick up the kids by myself, but he wants just a bit more fun time before they come back! I love this man! Ignore me while I have my crazy moment.....

I am happy for you Shrimps. And you give us all hope with your bright posts - of relationship sanity - and a kind man. I always feel a sense of balance - of yourself, your kids and him - when you post - and that is important.
Keep us posted!!

Ok, I couldn't resist LOL! You are TOOOOOO cute with your crush :)
Thanks, everyone! It just surprises me. I've never had a non-married relationship last this long before. My longest up til now, has been 2 yrs and then we break up. And within my 7-yr marriage, I don't remember things being this easy-going and smooth even as long as this has been so far. Nearly 3 yrs and still no fights over anything! Sure, we've had some heavy conversations about certain things, but no fights. Nothing has ever turned into a fight. Such a change from the marriage thing, when my ex and I used to fight alot.
I guess I'm wanting someone to pinch me. But again, it's not like this feels like some fantasy... it feels very real and grounded. Alot of LIFE creeps in to get in the way, but then it just keeps on going despite all of that. Is this really what it's supposed to be like? I hope so... because I don't want to give this up!
We will go play golf again tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Wish me luck, as I get bad bowling scores in golf. :-P But it's still fun... and I just shoot for beating my own personal best, even if I can't beat Hiker.

That is the way it should be - and it is so refreshing to see someone experience that here.
Shrimps, I was wondering, since you two met some time ago and most of us might not be familiar with the story, do you mind making a bit of a recap here for us - how you met and your first date and just a bit of a summary? We would love to go down memory lane!!
Thanks, Judy! I'd been through waaay too many rollercoaster relationships in the past, where I was always left wondering what I was doing wrong, or if what I was doing was right, or if I was acting the "right" way or not, etc... and I'm so glad to finally find myself settled into a place where I just plain do or say what I want... and let the chips fall where they may. And that I am with a man who doesn't freak out about the goofy things I can say sometimes!

So we'll be coming up on our 3-yr mark next month. :-)
