The test says No.

So I'm gonna get in touch with my doctor to get to the bottom of why I'm not getting my period this month. Like I've said before. Nothing out of the ordinary happening here. Nothing to be stressed over. Quite happy, in fact. I've never missed a cycle except when I was carrying Dylan. I'm like a clock. Every 28 days and at the same time of the day each time. So you can imagine how I can be confused. Of course, I can get a blood test to see for sure. My best friend has two kids and never had a positive home test. Even when she had in-vitro done last year and KNEW for a fact she was pregnant already. A home test says a big NO.

So I'm going to make a call today and schedule a time to go in.

I'm sorry that you are disappointed.

There are a number of reasons why you could be late. Stress is a big one...and you have to remember that even good stress is still stress to your body.

Other things that can affect your cycle are new exercise programs, drastic changes in weight (either losing or gaining), hormone inbalances, and even some medications.

An occasional "irregularity" is usually not something to be worried about...but definitely get a referral if you don't get your cycle soon.

My GP made a referral for me to see an OB this month, however, it is after I get Dylan back for good. He won't be in school yet, so I need to reschedule since it wouldn't be too great for me to take him along...LOL! EWWW!

I plan to ask what's going on if things don't happen soon from a menstrual standpoint. Not that I want my period, but it would be better to have it so I feel more regular and can figure my body out again.

It is pretty funny, huh? Shane asked me on the way out of town Sunday if I had started yet and I told him no. He says, "You have to be pregnant". I told him there was no way because I took a blood test and figured since there was nothing new to tell him, I just said nothing. He wants me to see a Dr. now, but I told him of my scheduled appointment and he agreed to watch D that morning and be late to work so I don't have to reschedule. He's worried about me and wants to know why I'm skipping if I never do any other times. I admit, it's strange. I never skipped before except when I carried Dylan. That's it. And I was more stressed than ever in my first marriage. From day one. He was awful. But I'm so much happier now and even if I do stress over little things sometimes, it shouldn't be enough to drop my period completely like this. So I'm going to call and ask some questions prior to my appointment since they now can answer me. I'm now a scheduled patient and they will be more accomodating to my issue.

Wish me luck. I have 3 more weeks til I see the doc.
