Ok, I might have missed these questions before, but I thought I'd throw them your way...

What song have you ever requested to your SO or someone that was important to you?

What song makes you want to cry everytime you hear it? And why?

What song makes you always want to get up and dance?

What song puts a grin on your face? And why?

What song can you relate to, when you think about your X?

Can't wait to hear these answers!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who bought the Monster Ballads CD!!! It's great, isn't it? I LOVE big hair bands from the 80's. Guess I'll never change.

I don't know what you consider a "youngster" but I'm 33 and I LOVE Barry White! (see my note about the song I requested- "I can't get enough of your love baby!") =)

Oh they are AWESOME! I have both and listen often. Mine and Shane's first dance was from Monster Ballads. It was, "Love of A Lifetime" by Firehouse.

And I saw Scorpions, Whitesnake and Dokken last year. Very good concert!

Barry White is a sexual God from a musical standpoint! I love all his stuff. Some friends of ours have a BW CD and we were jamming to it at a party not long ago. Just us girls were dancing for the guys. I think most of us went home that night and danced some more between the sheets!

I love both of them too. I know I have another Monster CD, and I think it's called Monster Rock. Also very good, but harder than the ballad CD. Lots of "hair bands". I've never seen the bands you have listed, but I have seen Bon Jovi (twice) and Def Leppard -- my all-time favorite band (three times) -- gotta love Joe Elliott and of course, I can't forget Jon Bon Jovi's very cute butt, especially when he wears leather pants, which he usually does. I may be going to see Van Halen in Chicago on Monday night. I have been trying all week to win tickets through this radio station I listen to. You had to be the 15th caller. Wednesday I was caller 11 and today I was caller 3. Thats' not good enough. Anyway, I got a call from my sister today. She got tickets to VH from her husband for mothers day -- very good seats -- very expensive. She asked me today if I wanted to go with her. When I asked her why, she said her husband got laid off today. He doesn't want to go, and she's not sure she wants to. So, I will take her husband's ticket, and if she doesn't want to go, I hope I can get my SO to go with. He likes Van Halen, but be is a David Lee Roth fan -- I'm a total Sammy fan. I'm glad to be going to the concert, but I feel real bad for my sister's husband losing his job. It's kind of a win by default. Have a good weekend everyone.

I'm seeing Rush this weekend - and we are seeing Van Halen August 14th - we have 2nd row seats. TT loves Eddie Van Halen SOOOOO much that he wanted to name Alex "Eddie Van insert TT's very German last name here" I flatly refused. LOL Little did I know when he suggested Alex he was thinking of Alex Van Halen! LOL I'm a Sammy fan - all the way - - - Right Now was my senior song . . . . ah . . . the memories!

I'm sorry about your BIL's job - I hope he and your sis are ok!

I LOVE Def Lepard! I saw them in the 80s with my sis when I was just a kid . . . on the Pyromania tour . . . and I've seen them twice in the last 2 years . . . . love them.

I didn't really like Bon Jovi when they first came out - don't know why - but I LOVE them now. Saw them last year at Tiger Jam . . . we had fourth row seats. AMAZING. :) I think I was too into Guns & Roses and Stone Temple Pilots when they came out the first time to notice them . . . .

Fourth row to see Bon Jovi - man are you lucky. If that was me, I would have tried to climb on the stage and I would have gotten myself thrown out! It's always good to hear from a fellow Def Leppard fan. Sometimes I think I'm the only one. When I tell people that I like them, I get these wierd looks or people say stuff like, "They were so 80's". So what, I like a lot of 80's music. I was in high school and college in the 80's, and there was a lot of great music back then. I last saw them when they released their X CD, and I'm probably the only person on the planet that bought it, but it's very good. They usually only tour when they release new CD's and since it usually is about 4 or 5 years between CD's, we have a while to wait. As for Van Halen, well, I was so close. Friday afternoon my sister said I could have her tickets for tonight. I lined up a babysitter. Called by BF and I had it all planned out. Then Saturday, my sister called me and told me she changed her mind and that she and her husband are going to the concert. So, I'm SOL. I'm really disappointed because my BF has been out of town a lot lately, and I haven't seen him in a month. Van Halen would have been a perfect date. I just want to go to a concert, really bad. I haven't been to a concert in over a year and a half. I love concerts. Even though I'm getting old (39 in Nov.), it's still my favorite thing to do. There just hasn't been anyone I want to see, and if there was someone I wanted to see, I couldn't get anyone to go with me. Now that I have a BF that loves music as much as me, I have someone to go with -- there just needs to be someone to come around that we want to see. Oh well, it's not the end of the world. I still have my CD's. Enjoy the VH concert in August. I just have to ask you how you get such great seats? Do you pay a scalper or ticket broker. The best seats I ever had was about 10 years ago I had 3rd row seats for a Styx concert, and that was just pure luck because I happened to have a good lottery number. But other than that, I usually have pretty mediocre seats. But, I look at it this way, I'm there -- and it's better than sitting at home listening to a CD.

I would cry, cry, cry if I hadn't been to a concert in a year and a half! I start getting ancy after a month! LOL

My dh turns 40 in less than a month - - - and he isn't old!!!!! You take that back!!!!!!

We are really fortunate in the concert area . . . here in Las Vegas concerts are NORMALLY held at one the hotel/casino's arenas. As is the case with Van Halen . . . so since my honey is a director at one of them in town - we can usually get "casino" seating - meaning it's been reserved for the casino's high rollers. We buy them through his work. And - our best friend is the general manager for the Las Vegas Ticketmaster office. Which is HUGE. So one way or another - we are guaranteed a seat (alot of the times for free) and NORMALLY a really good seat.

What a bummer that you didn't see VH!

My sis got me hooked on Def Leppard when I was a kid (I was 7 - - - she was 18) and I have loved them ever since. They are GREAT rock and roll!!!!! And you aren't the only one that has X! LOL
