Hey girls!!! It's Friday!! WAHOO!!
Whatcha doin' for the weekend? Cleaning, cooking, running the kids around, dating, looking, hiding? Tell us!!
As for me -
Friday night DS and I will go to dinner and then he goes off with his dad for the weekend. Saturday morning I promised my swim coach that I will participate in a swim meet - we have to dive off the block and swim 2 laps really hard. You see, I didn't learn to swim until I was 39 so that is sort of a big deal but a fun challenge.
Saturday I have a fun night with the alumni girls planned. There is a new sports bar that is really upscale and outdoorsy so we are going to meet early, have dinner and catch up. So far it looks like just the girls - so no MA!! Lucky me!! LOL!!!
MtEverest (the guy I went on a date with on Monday) has been emailing and texting and yesterday he called. But I didn't take the call because DS and I were cleaning the house. DS was putting away the Christmas tree while I was vacuuming and mopping the floor - it was a team effort to get a lot done in a short amount of time. I told DS that if he wants to play the teen games on his xbox that he has to do the teen work around the house! LOL!! So then I did return MtEverest's call a tad later and left a message. I think he is away with his son this weekend - he has him every other weekend.
Saturday and Sunday morning I am going to be out on my bike in the lanes where everyone (including single cyclists) ride.

Then I will come crashing back to reality and I have coaching and rehearsing all Sat and Sun. I dont know what we are all doing Mon since it is a school holiday. It is nice to have a long weekend.
Good luck on the swim meet! That is so amazing that you learned how to swim at 39 and now you are doing that! Brava!
I am planning on cleaning the house and making dinner at home tonight--My DD is babysitting her siblings at her Dads house until 8pm so it'll just be my DS and I--should be fun.
April
Friday: I am dropping my oldest 2 off with a neighbor friend so I can do a Dr.'s appt in the city with the baby. Then back to pick up 2 oldest kids, and back home to clean house and get the stove unplugged and moved away from the wall so I can clean the crud underneath in preparation for the new range being delivered tomorrow!! Also Mountie (which I'm going to change his name to Mr. RCMP since mountie is just making me envision him repeatedly "mounting" atop various things some inappropriate LOL) is home tonight so I'm looking forward to a phone chat. He's been away again and without phone or internet so we have a few days worth of news to catch each other up on) And since its Friday I'm thinking Chinese takeout for dinner YUM
Sat: since the range is being delivered today, kids & I will be staying close to home. Delivery is supposed to be between 12-5pm I have to make sure my condo office dropped off the no parking signs and then shoo people out of the parking spaces if they choose to ignore them *sigh* I hate that about condo living
Sun: I have no idea what we're doing LOL I've only figured things out until Saturday LOL Hopefully we can just play, enjoy the snow and relax on Sunday.
Anyhow, there are parts of him that are totally 20's and so I feel that difference even though they are just remnants and not who he is really. It just makes me feel OLDER from time to time. If I were still with the older exes I had, maybe I would feel like a spring chicken? lol
My sister, her fiance and my niece are coming to visit for the weekend.
Not doing much, I'm sure.
Good luck on the swim meet. Meets are fun- well fun for me since I got to stay dry on deck and cheer for my sons. D3 will start swim team next summer when she's 5. I am assuming from your description you'll be doing a 50 Free short course event (yards rather than meters). Neither of the boys swim competitively now. S16 decided to focus on music and his schoolwork, AP classes seemed daunting to him and swimming is very time consuming. He was no longer as competitive as he had been at age 12 or as his brother had been so he lost interest. S19 is now focused on skiing. He was one of the best breast stroke swimmers in the state right through his senior year of high school, and he was better at long course than short course. But he never had that drive to take it to the next level.
As for my weekend, tomorrow I will be having a Day of Beauty of sorts in preparation for this big Masked Ball event for the Opera League (I'm a board member and on the Ball committee). I rarely wear make up so I'm having my eyebrows done, make-up and an updo. I won't recognize myself. Then I get to squeeze into the couture gown I bought in Paris (yes, I'll post pictures after the event) and M can stuff himself into his tux, I made masks for us, and off we go. We'll have cocktails with strolling dancers, jugglers, opera singers and musicians, then dinner (veal or vegetarian) with wine included, a jazz big band for dancing, and fireworks. There is also a Silent Auction of masks made by local artists, two of which are signed by big name opera singers. I hope we sold out the event, we were getting close.
QueenBun, waiting for the tile guys to show up so I can go shopping for a wrap and some pantyhose
Ok, so here's my "exciting" weekend...
Once I get home from work tonight, I will play/feed/bathe dd until it's time to put her to bed...usually around 8 or 8:30, try to tidy up a bit and then crawl into bed myself to try to catch up on my lack of sleep during the week.
Sat-Will take dd to her baby booster class in the morning and then spend the rest of the afternoon running errands, shopping etc...
Sun-Laundry day, cooking
Wow! You learned to swim at 39? I would have guessed that you were practically born in the water becuase of your athletic nature and love for outdoor sports! I love swimming!
Tonight, Friday eve...I am taking DD and two of her friends to see The Bucket List. Then a playdate at my place...so that means I gotta get home and clean, you know do the Mrs Cleaver clean up job so that the friends and friends moms think I have a regular, coookie baking, tidy, sparkly home, lol!!
Saturday..so far, no plans! I have DD all weekend and so far looks like it will be a sleep in, stay in PJs till noon kinda day. Then maybe some shopping and I might tackle those clostes that need organizing and get in a bike ride.
Suday we're going disc golfing at noon, then going with Blue Eyes to a friends to watch the Football playoff games. His buddy is a big Cheesehead..so that should be exciting!
