I love the meetup clubs because they have them in all of the major cities! And yes, I also signed up recently for latin dancing, brunch meetings and single parents meeting. Very fun! I have made a great amount of new friends.

I used to hang out with a swing dancing group years ago and I love it.

Meetups are a great org. In my neck of the woods their events are too far to get to because I don't have a car, but they have a huge assortment of events. I heard they
were fun with good people.

Have fun, wish I could.

I am so glad that I had some small part in enhancing your life.

You think belly dancing can be viewed as risque then you should try the pole dancing or stripper classes they have here in Portland.

I know partner dancing classes such as swing dancing or flamingo or salsa are great ways to meet people of the opposite sex however I have enormous difficulty in "going with the flow" and enjoying it because I have huge issues with being competent and remembering steps.

Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

I think pole and strip dancing would be HILARIOUSLY funny to do. I would definitely jump on the band wagon! And talk about making money. Hmmmm, maybe I should install a pole in my apartment, practice and teach some ladies a few tricks for a few bucks. LOL.

JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would actually find pole dancing/stripper dancing intriquing but I would be completely surprised if it ever took off here in Richmond(extremely conservative town)

I took an African dance aerobic class once. Wow what a workout! The teacher was part of a professional troupe and he invited us to their performance. I got to see the moves he was teaching us on stage. I thought "God HE made us do *professional* moves??!!"

I agree on pushing our comfort zones in order to grow, learn more about ourselves and gain confidence. From my personal growth seminar workshop, "You know what a rut is? A long grave."
