Just remember a move is only hard on the children if the outcome is bleaker. Meaning, if you make more money and the children have a better life, then the move will be better for them. I know what you mean with fear. As my children get older, more fear sets in. I worry more about how it will affect them. That is why I have one more move to go and then I am going to settle for a pretty long time.

I moved on average every 3 years growing up: always to a new place, new school and I was always the new kid with no friends :(

Alex goes to a Magnet School so they come from all over the city, but next year she has to be in one school throughout High School and I want her to be happy. I will not move for anything or anyone knowing she needs that structure and calm in her life. I know what you mean about the move thing. It was really hard on me all those years, but High School would have been the worst for me.

I sometimes just don't understand parents that want to rip their children out of a High School a year or two before Graduation. I just think it is soo hard during that age and everyone needs to minimize that sort of drastic change on a child.

I know what you mean- when my mom moved out of town when I was 17 I REFUSED to go with her: I told her I was NOT starting over for grade 11/ 12= so I stayed with my dad.
