This is a concept that I've been thinking about the past few weeks.

Those sounds like really positive things to get your groove back, Isys. You bought AND assembled a lawn mower?? You are my hero!! I hope that those things you did/are doing helped you feel more yourself again. All this kayak talk makes me want to go and get one too!

Isysmoon, sounds like you have made some wonderful decisions to get ahead financially and that you are getting more used to the rigors of 2 jobs. What a great feeling that must be to know you will be ahead for the winter. I bet EG really admires your tenacity.

Can't wait to hear your kayaking stories!! Keep us posted!

I think that is sort of neat that you would head towards education. For some reason, after reading your posts, it sort of suits you!! Do you think you would ever do that full time? Here I go planning your married life, right? LOL!! Forgive me!! :-D

I've found it interesting that my nursing career has headed off down some education pathway as well. I always thought I'd be in patient care forever! I'm still not sure about trying for my MSN and teaching for real... but many of the faculty have asked me about it.

Wow - that is a big responsibility!! Good for you!!

It is so much fun to hear what we all do here. You know, most people would think of the single mother stereotype - uneducated, barely making minimum wage. And between all of us here we have quite a bit of talent and expertise!! I always love to hear what everyone does.

I miss actually working in the OR rooms and being part of the excitement, but I don't miss not being able to take a vacation or being able to have weekends and holidays off.
