West sent me this article, and it reminded me so much of our discussion of toxic sisters, that I wanted to post it here.

Great article, soonee-

I just copied this part to Blue eyes- in light of my conversation with him last night. He's dealing with setting personal boundaries with "friends" who try and manipulate and use him too often.

"Setting boundaries is another way of protecting yourself; you draw a line saying, for instance, "This is what I can do for you, and this is what I can't." You don't have to convince the vampire of the rightness of your stance. Getting defensive simply adds to the negative charge of the encounter. You want to remain neutral. When someone starts pushing your buttons, and you start sizzling inside, you've got to make the decision not to react."

That is excellent!

Thanks for doing such a great job pasting all that here. I was so busy today there was no chance for that for me.

I had to eat in the shower at one point!! No kidding! We had such a hard swim and then very little time to get out on the bike and I was starved - so ate while rinsing chlorine off!!

And tonight after a 2.5 hour run I had 20 minutes to shower, dress and be to dinner. So I was talking to DS in the shower with the cell phone on speaker phone!!

6 hours of exercise - that is crazy fit!! But all fun and good - I am going to be STRONG! Only 3 more days. I get back home Saturday.

Moon...bring your cattle prod for the cow. You know you could always drop little ones and shed never pick up on you calling her a cow...like if she asks what youve been up to reply "oh you know just chewing the cud with SEV you know how it goes" See an indirect zinger...Seriously though Ill be sending positive thoughts your way. In a twisted way i guess you could say mom and i are lucking out. Since shes been sick we told the fam it wasnt a good idea to have so much commotion that she needed to just have a nice quiet one...and they understood.

Well the absolute beauty of the original agreement is that CP wasnt smart enought to ask about holidays or birthdays so I get my peanut for Easter. Hes working anyway and since the GF is gone he doesnt have a sitter or a reson to show off and pretend to be a doting father.

He does have a son from a previous marriage. Hes going to be 11 in June and i raised him as my own child from the time he was 6. I miss him very much but CP made it clear in more than one confrontation that I wasnt his f***ing mother so dont worry about a thing. I did ask him the other day if he at least signed him up for soccer since its his favorite and he said yes. I asked my boss because her son plays as well (side note its a relief not to have a child in activies that my bosses kid is in anymore) and she said yes hes playing. All in all he was and still is a crap father. We got custody because the exwife is a hardcore drug addict and alchoholic. Her last bf was killed by an old boyfriend in the middle of the day while
