Trip to the Fortune Teller

Okay, this is really strange. Over spring break some friends and I went to one of those psycic places -- is that how you spell that? It was for fun, and we had a blast. I was totally skeptical about the whole thing, but like I said, it was just for fun.

So the lady does my reading and is talking about me meeting someone in the next few months. He will be a great friend and companion and we will be very close, but he is not the person I am going to marry. He will be a coach of some kind and work with kids. Well that seemed lame because I am a teacher and half the people I know are teachers and coaches. Anyway, he will have two kids who could be my students. And he will have a "C" in his name.

Fast forward to this last week. I have been talking -- e-mail, text, and tonight on the phone for the first time -- to this guy for about a week. He use to work in the neighboring school district. He coached football at my school 3 years ago, but I didn't know him. He has two daughters who are both in 7th grade -- the grade I teach. He works with kids who have been released from jail/juvi awaitng trial. He has two nephews who go to my school. And the last piece of the puzzle -- his last name begins with a "c".

Now I went to the whole psycic thing for fun, but that is a lot of things to match up on this guy. He knows all of my friends and they all love him. My best friend called while I was texting him and I didn't want to tell her who the guy was because I knew she would have gone to school with him. When I finally told her she started screaming and said he has a "c" in his name and he is a coach. I didn't even remember the stuff the woman had told me until my friend brought it up.

While I have no idea if this will go anywhere, it is a little strange. The upside is, everyone I know who knows him can't say enough good stuff about him. At least I know he is no ax murderer. lol

I almost forgot -- he was supposed to have copper skin and very white teeth. Ding ding ding we have a winner. Hispanic with nice white teeth. What a hoot.

That is sure a crazy story. I have never been to a fortune teller before - but her predictions sure stack up!!

Keep us posted on your coach.

Jen, that's sure a lot of coincidences to brush off. It sounds like you've met a friend!

I haven't ever been to a fortune teller- well actually once when I was a teen I went to the booth at the county fair. She told me I would marry four times, so I left. I was 15 and not thinking about marrying, but now I know it certainly won't ever be four times!

i hope your fortune teller was right, because we can all use more friends, and he sounds like a nice guy.

Moody, working on making her own fortune

How freaky is that Jen? I've wanted to go to a "fortune teller" or psychic just to see what they would say. :) It sounds like this woman was right on the money plus he sounds like a great guy.

I say go with it! :)

Ok, wait a minute, so you are going to be totally in sync with this perfectc guy and could end up dating him and then know in the back of your head, he's not going to be the one??? Ok, so I sound a bit pesamistic, but I'd be like, heck, this sucks. LOL !

I do have to say, it sounds all TWILIGHT ZONE to me. :)
Keep us posted.

It does suck that according to this woman we won't be together, but I take comfort in the fact that my friend went back and her reading was totally differnt the second time around. The fortune teller should always be taken with a grain of salt. Well maybe an entire truck load of salt.

In the end, talking to the guy has been loads of fun so we will just see what happens -- fortune teller be damned.

Jen, good attitude! << In the end, talking to the guy has been loads of fun so we will just see what happens -- fortune teller be damned.>>

I would put absolutely no stock whatsoever in what a fortune teller says about whether or not he will be the *one*. Yeah it is fun to line up the coincidences and say she knew this guy was coming into your life, I think that's great.

But do not, I repeat DO NOT, let someone else determine your relationship's fate :) You are both adults with free-will and your destiny is based on your thoughts, choices
