After reading the story of the events that happened... I also agree that the BF was being immature in his reactions to things. Kicking a chair leg because he was inconvenienced to get up and move?!!?? How mature is THAT???
I'm also thinking that maybe he was so pissy because maybe he had EXPECTATIONS (that dirty word!!!) for the evening. Maybe he thought that the girls would go to bed early (as on a school night) so you and he could have some time alone. And because the girls
"The good news.... You have the right to be just as obnoxious and power-wielding to any child in your presence once you attained the rank of 'adult'."
OMG - spew alert!!!!!!!
That applies to almost all of the guys on match and many adults I see in every day life. The ones who speed 100 mph because they are in a hurry, the ones who cut a line, the ones who make a rude comment about the slow bagger in the super market, the ones who do not get the discount they wanted that doesn't apply to the product they are buying and they tie up a huge line in the store. I could go on and on.
For what it is worth, I think the BF is way more disrespectful and childish than the kids who just want to stay up and be entertained like any other person.
A favorite saying I read somewhere said "Mean people make little Mean people". I think that goes for kids raised under the rules imposed by step parents, boyfriends, girlfriends, parents, anyone who is imposing their mean way or the highway.
