Hope you feel better. Ending any relationship is hard and especially went it wasn't really bad, just not the right one. Good for you for wanting the best for yourself.

Hey Alison...Those wistful feelings can be hard to beat sometimes.

I have been listening to the new Michael Buble cd on my commute in to work lately and I have to skip through his version of Willie Nelson's "You were always on Mind" because it makes me cry everytime. Music can be so powerful. My former H has been begging me to get back together with him and apologizing like there's no tomorrow for how poorly he treated me ...how he took me for granted.

I am glad he has come to the realization that he grossly mistreated me and I am glad that he is taking steps to change his behaviour for the future. But you can't go back (at least I can't...the dammage was done). Just learn, grow and move on. I agree...I am no longer willing to just "settle" for whatever life dishes out to me. I am actively seeking personal fulfillment and hoping to find a partner that values those same qualities (optimistic, happy, appreciative and respectful) as well. If not...I will be happy to remain single...

Sending you (((((hugs))))) from the other side of Canada...

Oh Alison, that is a really hard milestone to get past - sorry you have to have the pain with J. It just stinks and there is nothing anyone can say or do to take away the empty gnawing feeling. I love how you state you want a GOOD life - if you say it and want it then you will get it. It is wonderful to see that your business is keeping you busy. Good things will come - they always do - it is just a matter of waiting now.

The next one is always better!
