Another wonderful weekend with W even though I was all sniffly with a cold/sinus infection and AF showed up on Saurday (yuck).

My kids are number 1 in my life and always will be.
Would the kids have been with your you mom even if you didn't go to NY?
Thanks - no guilt - lol.
Go on the trip!!! No Guilt Allowed!!!!
I've been on trips with Hiker without the kids. And left the kids with my parents to watch. I felt some guilt too- but at the same time they understood and they enjoyed the time to spoil the kids rotten anyway. They wanted me to have some fun because they knew I was the 24/7 parent and didn't get much of a break.
It's not like you're taking off every night or every weekend on trips and leaving the kids. And it's not like you're leaving the kids in unqualified hands to take care of them!
We all need some kid-free R&R time now and then. Enjoy!

Yep--- just like Shrimps said, GO ON THE TRIP AND HAVE FUN....and you are not allowed to bring a suitcase of guilt. All guilt must be left at home!! There is no need for guilt. I know how feel..I felt the same way the first time I left DD when I went on vacation. But as adults we need it, we need time to unstress and to be with firends, lovers, or just ourselves. Your kids will appreciate it in the long run as you will come home more refreshed and ready for them than ever.
Go, and have FUN! Oh- and report back here with details!!!
